Terrible concierge and property management at 39 Queens Quay E.
The building itself is nice, though you can sometimes hear your neighbours and location is great but the people working at concierge give you wrong information, try to avoid doing work and are very frustrating.
Property management isn't much better, the indoor pool was supposed to be fixed in two weeks which stretched into months and then they just opened the outdoor pool instead and still haven't fixed the indoor pool. Now they closed the outdoor pool, providing no reason why or information or when it'll be re-opened.
There are also water issues in the bike storage locker so they just closed down the fob access so every time I want to get to my bike I have to go to concierge to have them open it for me with their key (they won't come help you if you call them) however they don't want to go with me to open the door and instead want me to come to them, get the key, grab my bike and then go back to them to return the key every time I want to get my bike and then put it back. I can understand when there is one person at the desk but one time I asked them to come with me as I wanted to be on time for work and the person responded they couldn't because the other concierge was doing an outdoor patrol. I then pointed out to them that the person was literally right outside the glass doors smoking with someone else who worked there and I guess had just gotten off their shift. They then sheepishly said yes, opened the door to tell the other concierge person they were going to the bike storage locker and went with me. And property management has yet to provide updates on when this will be fixed but I have a feeling...
Read moreI want to be clear that I LOVED my actual condo and the landlord/owner. However, property management here is abysmal. They switched to Duka Property Management after we moved in and if I knew they’d be in charge here I never would have signed the lease (see the reviews specifically for Duka on Google). They engage in incredibly shady practices and try to prey on people thinking they won’t know their rights. When I explained that I knew my rights per the condo bylaws and the City of Toronto bylaws they threatened me with ridiculous legal costs. They are bullies. I’m not usually a conspiracy theorist and I admit this may be a huge coincidence but very shortly after I had my disagreement with them they sent maintenance to our unit for the first time in i don’t know how long.. the maintenance left our back door wide open (it was left open for days because we were away on vacation), and they broke our AC. Now it’s impossible to get ahold of anyone to fix the AC they broke.. with a heat...
Read moreThe walls are paper thin you can hear your neighbour easily from above and in the hallways. The whole building is very poorly built but at a high cost of living. Furthermore, there is no visitor parking, and residents of 15 QQ do not have direct access to parking and need to walk far underground to get to their spot. Overall the place is in fairly bad shape considering this building is not that old, and is also not rent controlled. They are also planning to build a massive building right infront of 15 QQ in a year therefore you will be disturbed by this ongoing construction without a doubt given the poor build and sound insulation. Overall do not move here save yourself the headache. Also the garbage is collected every morning on the east side of the building because it is shared with the restaurant below and this causes an insane...
