I have always shopped at the Real Sports Apparel at the Scotiabank Arena location and I have never had any bad experiences. They provided me with good customer service, but I heard from friends and other consumers that they lack in customer service as they would close early, but I have never had any problems. Three weeks ago (June 13), right after the Raptors won the NBA finals, I went on to the Real Sports Apparel and ordered two 2019 Raptors Champion Strapback hats. I received a confirmation text message immediately stating that my order was placed. On Monday, June 17, I received another text message stating that my order has been shipped and I was provided a link from the Real Sports Apparel website to track my package. I expected my item to come in 2 days as it was coming from their warehouse in St. Thomas, London, Ontario. It wouldn't take long to delivery something to downtown Toronto. As the two days have passed, I still did not receive my package and on their website, it states to allow 10-14 business days due to the high volume of orders. I gave it about another week and I did not receive any updates nor when I went on to the Real Sports tracking site, it said it was expected to deliver on Tuesday, June 18, but that it was still at St. Thomas. When I went to the Canada Post tracking site, it said it was expected to deliver on Wednesday, June 19 and that it was in transit. I decided to send an email to their E-commerce location/warehouse last Friday, June 28. In the email, I told them that I have not yet received my package and it has been a little more than 2 weeks and I provided them with pictures of the text confirmations, tracking status of my package from both websites (Real Sports and Canada Post). They did not reply and I decided to give it a few more days due to it being a long weekend last week. Today, I decided to phone them at their warehouse location, but they are not picking up. Instead, I am provided with their automated voice clip. I decided to send them another email stating that I am VERY UNSATISFIED with their customer service as they have not replied to my email and they don't even answer the phone and if they could provide me with compensation for the late delivery or provide me with a refund as I could have just went to the actual store at Scotiabank Arena and purchased it from there if I knew it would take this long. The thing is, I paid for express shipping, so I really expected to get my package within 5 days maximum. I decided to call Canada Post to tell them I have not yet received my package and that it has been 3 weeks. They told me to call the shipper (Real Sports Apparel) and they will call Canada Post to start an investigation. I am so frustrated! Real Sports doesn't even pick up their phone nor reply so how do I get a hold of them? Being a person who works in customer service as well, they really have poor service. I have never had any problems with online purchases and this is my first time purchasing online from Real Sports, which I will NEVER do again. If this happened to me, I can only imagine it happening to many others. As of now, I'm just waiting for Canada Post and I am still trying to reach Real Sports Apparel E-Commerce to figure out what they could do for me. Compensation? Refund?
In other words, Real Sports Apparel Warehouse (E-Commerce), you really need to work on picking up the phone and stop with the automated voice message and also work on replying to consumers' emails as quick as possible. Honestly, I have been trying to call for the past 3 hours and I have sent emails and haven't received any replies. It really makes me feel like I have been scammed because I have spent $100+ on my package.
As for people wanting to make purchases online through their website, I really suggest that you SKIP their site and place your online order elsewhere. You would be lucky to have your order shipped out to you if you actually order from them, but it's better not to risk it as you can be in the same...
Read moreNice place if you purchase in person. I understand that things are going to be backed up because of the demand of Championship gear from the Raptors victory but PLEASE write something on your website. For instance, instead of writing 10-14 days write down 15-20 days. People are still waiting for their hats to be shipped including myself. Instead of not responding to emails WRITE ON YOUR WEBSITE...There is a delay. The people of Toronto are understanding so use your company webpage to explain the issue is with the manufacturer and not you. I ordered a shirt online and was told the Fed Ex lost my shipment tough luck (over 1 month later) here is your money back, now go away. Kawhi is not even part of the organization anymore and I still don't have my hat. Any reasonable establishment (even Canadian Tire) would give you something in return a coupon to use in store? a coupon to use online? a coupon for a future visit? It's evident that they didn't have enough supply to keep up with the demand but that is no excuse for poor customer service. I understand that the store and website operate separately but the ONE thing Real Sports Apparel has to know is that they are the OFFICIAL Store of the Toronto Raptors: answer emails, answer phone calls....not enough workers? Hire some temporary ones. Real Sports was as ill-prepared as the city of Toronto for the Championship parade. I don't expect a response from Real Sports to this review but I wanted to take the time to write a review on behalf of all the frustrated Customers out...
Read moreRecently went in to the store to purchase a Maple Leaf jersey and it was a terrible experience. Customer Service is NOT top of mind to anyone working in this store. I shelled out $300 for a customized jersey. They told me it would take 2 hours to customize. I agreed to wait. At the 40 minute mark they advised I could not have my jersey customized because they were missing the letter L (I was getting a SALMING jersey therefore the letter L was imperative). I asked when they would be getting the letter L - they said they didn't know. I asked them to check with the people who customize the jerseys as they would be aware of when they were getting their shipments. They told me they couldn't ask the customizing staff because they wouldn't know either. So I asked what they could do for me - they basically said they could do nothing for me unless I wanted to back out of the whole thing and get a refund. I asked to see the Manager as I was shocked at all of the "sorry can't help you" I was getting after spending that much money. When the Manager came out I was given an alternative that was not presented to me prior. We changed the colour of the jersey to white and now I could have it customized because they had the BLUE letters in stock. It then took another 2 1/2 hours to customize and literally had to beg them to bring the shirt out from wherever they customize them so I could leave. HANDS DOWN the worst retail experience I have had ever. How is this the best REAL Sports has to offer? And repping the...
