I had a terrible experience at this Sephora Union Station; I cannot believe how rude, combative, and disrespectful Clare was (blonde hair, as she has been described in other reviews). I tried to ask a question, but she zipped past me with her hand up, indicating she was too busy and I needed to stop. Then I saw her in a corner, speaking into her mic, pretending like she's doing work. I went up to her to let her know there was no way she was going to treat me like that without me saying something. She tried to get loud with me, raising her voice and hands. I shut that down immediately, and she turned silent, aggressively nodding her head (very odd).
I can't believe she thinks it's acceptable to act that way. That's wild, and in Toronto at that!
When I went to her manager, she completely excused Clare's behaviour by saying that Clare was upset about another interaction she had with a different customer. So it's completely okay for her to take out her misplaced anger on another customer? This makes me feel like something is very wrong with this particular Sephoraâthat they keep someone like this employed to ruin paying customers' days. Like, what is up with that? And during the holiday season, no less.
To my surprise, she has been acting like this in this Sephora for over a year! Read the reviews; people have shared their terrible experiences with for over a year now. Actually, just two months ago, someone named and talked about their belittling and humiliating experience with her. Yet she continues to be employed with what seems like no consequencesâor if there are, they clearly are not working. Why is Clare M treating customers like garbage for this long now?
Like I told her manager, she should not be on the floor interacting with customers if she can't even muster an ounce of decency and kindness. I hope whoever replies to this doesn't tell me they "strive for a welcoming space"âthose phrases are verbs, action words! What are you going to do about Clare M's conduct?
We have some of the highest unemployment rates; people out there would love a job at Sephora and would treat customers with decency! Why is this something still going on with one particular person (Clare M)? What's going on with this location? I am questioning the employment hiring practices here deeply, and I...
Read moreI know might feedback is something odd but I have to pen down on my grandma's request I am writing to express my sincere gratitude and commend the exceptional service provided by a security guard at your Union Station location. My grandmother, who is not a regular reviewer, felt compelled to share her experience, and I wanted to ensure her feedback was formally communicated. A few days ago, my grandmother visited Sephora and had forgotten her glasses at home. She was struggling to find a product and felt hesitant to ask for help. A security guard noticed her and approached her, offering assistance. My grandmother was deeply touched by his gentle tone and the care he took to help her find exactly what she was looking for. She mentioned that he was as helpful as any store associate, if not more so. The guardâs kindness and professionalism left a lasting impression on my grandmother, who felt genuinely happy and blessed by his actions. She even told the cashier about the positive experience. While I do not know his name, but my grandmother described him as a gentleman of color with curly hair and a beard. I was in the store recently hoping to thank him and the store manager personally, but I don't find any of such descriptions. Please extend my familyâs deepest thanks to this individual and the entire team at Sephora Union Station for fostering such a positive and helpful environment. This security guard went above and beyond his role, and his actions are a testament to the high standards of your staff. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Sincerely, A...
