Super Cristian 4 — Local services in La Fortuna

Super Cristian #4 was our home-base for shopping while visiting Arenal area. Although some larger stores in La Fortuna may have provided a wider variety of food options at a lower price, we appreciated the sense of community while shopping here. The butcher provided excellent suggestions on carne and assisted in hand-selecting produce at their peak while describing where things were produced and imported from if not locally. Each time we stopped by we were greeted with familiar smiles, which made us feel like part of the community. Save money on dining out every meal...

I used to visit this supermarket because it is a local place instead to visit global chains, however 4 months ago I visited this place as usual when I visit La Fortuna and my credit card was cloned and there were completed transactions for more than $800, it is so sad since this place is visited for thousands of tourists from another countries to help our local economy and some personnel without values is in charge to make this cyber crime, please take actions, I am sure that the owners would not allow this...

Good solid supermarket with lots of useful stuff, parking is super easy. Many checkout stands available so the lines weren't long. They don't speak English well so finding some things were a bit difficult but they do have everything you need. Sunscreen is super expensive though. So come with it or find it somewhere...
