Café La Moricette — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

La Moricette is a nice little cafe in the colonial zone. It is nice designed and you can sit down relaxed. The waiters are friendly and also happy to help with the selection.

There are (we didn't try) some good looking rolls, cakes, crossaints etc.. also burgers are on the menu.

We only had something to drink. Unfortunately we had to change the order twice because the fruit for the smoothies were not in stock. The drinks themselves were ok. Unfortunately, nothing tasty. It was a bit to sweet for my taste.

It took more than 45 minutes to receive my order of pancakes and even then I didn’t receive my coffee. I reached the cafe at 10:30 and got everything at 11:30. I speak some Spanish so I tried to communicate my frustrations but it was very poor service to be honest. I saw the good ratings so I was excited to try this place however my experience was not good so I can’t give it a higher rating. I asked for a discount on the food due to the inconvenience however the ‘manager’ rudely said the politics of the world don’t work in this...

One of the best places on the main street of the zona colonial for a coffee and decent quality snack or bakery. The place itself is nothing fancy, however very popular with people as it offers good quality food and different to all the other places on El Conde street.
