Wow, what an incredible experience at the Bank of Georgia! As a German citizen, I was excited to open an investment account they assured me was possible. After visiting the branch multiple times – yes, several in-person visits – it still didn’t work out. Each time, something seemed to be missing or didn’t go through.

Finally, after wasting enough time, I was informed that, as a German citizen, I couldn’t even open the account. And let’s not forget the cherry on top: they still happily took a 20 Lari fee, knowing full well that account setup wasn’t possible for me.
