Minda - Coffee and Food — Restaurant in Tbilisi

We came here twice, with a 2-week gap in between, and both times half of the menu was unavailable — even the much-praised, famous dranik was missing. What’s worse, the waiter doesn’t mention the missing items right away, but only after the guest has already spent time choosing. In our case, every single dish we picked turned out to be unavailable.

The second time we were in a hurry, and we were told that any dish (even something as simple as fried eggs or avocado toast) would take at least 30 minutes because “there is only one cook in the café.” How can there be only one cook when the place is full of guests…? Why…? I then asked what the fastest option would be, and the waiter said pastries from the display case — but that would still take “10–15 minutes.” Ready-made pastries from the display case, 10–15 minutes???!

I don’t blame the waiter or the kitchen staff, as the problem here is clearly poor management.

It’s a shame. The café is in a great location, and I had heard many good things about it (back when the full menu was still available), but I will never come back again.

Extremely long waiting time. After payment, the waiter came to tell me there was a wrong item on my bill and said I would get a refund. An hour later, my friends and I realised there was still an order that never arrived. The manager then admitted he had accidentally refunded the wrong item — a dish ordered by my friend. My friend was understandably upset and asked if there was anything we could get quickly. The manager’s response was shocking: he claimed there was no way to get anything fast, admitted it was his mistake, but offered absolutely nothing to fix the situation.

This is hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had — terrible service, poor communication, and zero effort to make things right. I will never come back, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place.

I agree with the other reviews, only two stars because the food was quite good.

However, the rest was pitiful. The service, without any smile, was really terrible. First, we were quickly seated, given our cards and not told to order from the bar. Then, after waiting 10 minutes, we were told we had to go to the bar, which we did, but there we were told there was nothing available except scrambled eggs (we really shouldn't have been told that beforehand...). The waitress dragged her feet the whole time (quite unbearable) and when we got the food, there were two salad leaves, a small slice of bread and eggs. We asked nicely for another slice of bread (as we weren't going to eat enough) to which we were told yes. After ten minutes, still nothing! We go back to the counter and they ask us to PAY for the slice of bread!

Frankly, it's incomprehensible, especially after such bad service!
