Ordinarily I wouldn't post a review but I am slightly unsettled with my meal in this establishment today. As someone who's worked in the restaurant industry for years, I am also aware of the eye rolls some of these reviews can get. Nonetheless, I ordered the lasagna and was starving but as I tucked into it not even two bites in, I found a hair embedded in it. My other guest signaled the waitress and she immediately took it away whilst my other guests continued to enjoy their food. Sending food back is also something I'm not inclined to do but hair in food is offputting at best. My issue was less with the food which tasted alright for the bit I got but more with the manager who approached me with an accusing tone when addressing the issue. "It's werid I found a hair when the kitchen staff wear hats and fishnets" To which I agree and i also understand that people could plant hairs to get a free meal but I assure you I wouldve loved to enjoy that lasagna without the hair in its entirity. I feel an apology would've been more appropriate at that point and time and would hope other guests don't get the same abrasive manner. I also note that kitchens arent always run as smoothly as presented to the public, prep occurs before rushes and that lasagna was not made on the spot so please be kind next time you fancy glaring at a guest for pointing out a potential flaw which occured. I appreciate the waitress who was more sensitive, albeit she had nothing to do with the incidents. Overall, the prices were a little steap but understandable with dublin rent to consider and it's great location. The atmosphere of the place pre manager was pleasent. My other guest seemed to enjoy the apple crumble immensely. The waitress was also lovely. The manager however ruined my evening as I felt somewhat attacked for my find and further damped what already was a miserable day weather wise. He did do right by allowing for the lasagna to...

Follow up .reply to companies comment. You've only contacted me when I have contacted you. You have offered me nothing as a gesture .. you have not followed up with me in anyway. Youve just let it go. No update was furnished to me ....I've had to contact you.

emailed customer service got the usual really sorry ... one phone message to my ansafone from the manager after me re emailing customer services...... No more phone calls attempted by manager. Again no follow up from customer service to see if I'd had my complaint resolved. I had to initiate each contact......no follow up .no offer of anything ...absolutely dreadful. Anywhere can make mistakes and I see what the customer service will do and in this case that is absolutely nothing. I've seen the same staff still there when I walk passed......they don't care that I was verbally assaulted .or that I was told to get out and don't pay !!! ..I'm exploring other avenues

Complaint Waiting staff shouted at me and was rude about a diet coke bottle I had in my hand when I entered the building. Spoke to me like I wasva bold child and when I challenged him about it as he was sneering at me with the barman he then proceeded to shout at me again and refuse to take my payment and made me leave the pub !!!! Absolutely appalling. I'm a 54 year old middie aged woman from Dublin and I was treated like I was something he'd trodden in. What a...

I phoned up last Thursday morning to see if they would have any tables for that night for 2 people. I was told that I would not need to book a table. I explained that we were looking for dinner and drinks and was told that it was fine. when we arrived we were told that the kitchen closed early to do a deep clean. I explained that I was on the phone on Thursday morning and that I was told that the booking was not needed. so we left and went to the church restaurant and the were able to accommodate us. After dinner we decided to go back to the grand Central for a few drinks. I checked on the website and they have opened up to 11 we arrived there at 9.10pm and we were told that it was closed. if you can't figure out what time you are doing food till or what time u are open till then you really don't deserve customers. thankfully we still manage to have our date night in honour of my dad's birthday but I would advise people to check out other places that will give you a...

On a day trip to Dublin and we fell on this germ of a pub / restaurant... Firstly we went earlier in the day for drinks and found the prices very reasonable and the welcome and the service was very good .. Observed food being served to other guests while we were there and it looked delicious and plenty full... again menu prices were very good.. So we returned later for dinner...we were not disappointed.. Delicious food and freshly peppered in an open kitchen.. Fish and chips for me and a double burger for the wife.. absolutely superb food.. and a very friendly service... Beautiful pub nicely decorated and fantastic atmosphere.. and more importantly prices were very reasonable Hope to visit again when we return to Dublin..

Came here on a a Thursday night and it wasnt that packed with people. But since i was with a big group, we had to wait for the huge table that could accommodate about 10 people. There’s plenty of food and drinks option on their menu and i think it’s fairly priced. I took photos of the menu but forgot to take photo of the food! Anyway i got beef nachos and it was huge.. i would say it was fine but prolly could be better as the meat couldve been cooked better. Then again their other food could be so much better like the other reviews are saying:) Staff are friendly and nice. Overall would recommend the place when you find yourself around the area.

Very elegant former banking hall which is now a fabulous grown ups venue serving cocktails, Guinness (other alcoholic beverages are available for the uninitiated) and a very tasty food menu. The staff were brilliant with our party of 12 and service was swift and easy. Most of us went for the obligatory pint of Guinness and a bowl of succulent Irish Lamb Stew. Good sized portions and succulent melt in the mouth lamb was an absolute delight. We enjoyed the vibe so much we went back later in the evening to finish the night with a couple of espresso martinis (sophisticated bevvy sesh indeed) Great venue, I highly recommend it to all.
