Benor Maschere — Local services in Venice

My wife and I visited Venice for the first time together (she is Italian and had been before). I have been spending my time learning about Italian Folklore and mythology, and I wanted to find an authentic Venetian mask. I had some very specific requirements in mind as we wandered the beautiful streets of Venice. We looked in every shop we came across, but it was only at Benor Maschere that I found the perfect one.

It has everything I wanted, but most importantly, it captivated me. Once I saw this one, it held my attention and I knew it was the right one. I kept an open mind as we explored other shops, but nothing else was right.

Benor Maschere is filled with so many beautiful masks, each one incredibly inspiring and moving. The atmosphere it holds is dignified and majestic, and the store owner was so charming and lovely. The entire experience of this shop is a treasured memory and I can't wait to show everyone this beautiful piece of Venetian craftsmanship.

An absolutely must visit shop in Venice. Beautiful handcrafted artwork for incredibly reasonable prices.

I cannot overstate the perfection that each piece displays. It's clear that the person designing and crafting these pieces genuinely pours their heart into their craft.

Whilst in Venice there were many masks available to purchase. However you can see all of these masks are made in store by hand from start to finish. Many of the masks were in different stages of completion. After speaking with the owner, their shared how the business is still family owned.

Mi scuso con i gestori se ho impiegato qualche giorno in più per la recensione. Però è difficile essere sicuri di rendere merito completamente a questa realtà artigianale!!! 5 stelle sono poche. Davvero! Sono entrato qui per caso e devo dire che sono stato rapito!!! Avrei speso uno stipendio intero....ma mi son dovuto accontentare di una maschera ed un tricorno (cappello stupendo che ricorda quello dei pirati dei Caraibi) La magia che si vive qui, vedendo anche i proprietari che disegnano sul momento queste meraviglie, è realmente affascinante! Mi auguro che delle eccellenze come questa, vengano tutelate e protette dalle istituzioni, perché fanno parte di un patrimonio che deve rimanere tale! Il passato ed il gusto della tradizione, per lo stile, per la storia, mescolato alla moderna voglia di festa, di fantasia, di sogno, di goliardia, di mistero, di erotismo, di magia! Potrete trovare non solo le maschere, e ce ne sono davvero per tutti i gusti, troverete anche abiti, cappelli, mantelli e tantissimi oggetti regalo e souvenir. I prezzi sono buoni! Ovviamente modulati alla garanzia che quello che comprerete è fatto A MANO! Ma una cosa è certa! FARETE BELLA FIGURA, sia che partecipiate ad una festa, sia che facciate un regalo.... di classe! Appena tornerò a Venezia, passaggio...
