Loved eating here- this is a local gem, from the hard-working staff to the colorful, somewhat gritty interior, and the location so close to Namba station and Kuromon.
I normally can’t stand udon (am a ramen person) but loved the #1 fried tofu udon bowl (¥240) for its simplicity and flavor. The sweet, savory broth served piping hot, slippery tender udon, and the sweet large tofu swollen with brothy goodness, all adorned with a shower of green onion. I added black and red chili powders from the tabletop containers and made the broth even more interesting.
There’s self-serve water.

Extremely affordable dishes here. You can eat three decent meals here a day for under $10 USD. The boss is extremely warm...
