My friends and I visited the store back in April to rent a kimono for a day to tour around asakusa. I made my reservation via their instagram and it was really easy to communicate.
We arrived in the morning on our reservation time and we started to pick our kimono design, as we were the first group, we got the place to ourselves. There are a lot of designs to pick from and also some more premium options as well, but we were kinda rushed to decide as they want to dress us up before the next group arrives, so we had little time and did not thoroughly browse everything.
Wearing the kimono and doing our hairstyle is very quick and the staffs are very professional. The hairstyle that we could choose from is a more simple style and it was really quick and easy to tie them up. A range of accessories were given to us to pick from after that, to match our kimono. The basic selection has limited choice, and there's option to upgrade to better looking ones as well. I find the accessories quite worn out mostly, even the premium ones. it would be nice if they would purchase newer designs and also help us to do the matching and recommend which ones are suitable with the kimono we picked.
We paid and left the store to go on with the day without issues. In the evening, we came back just before their closing time and there was also no other customers. Taking off the kimono is very quick and easy. We get to keep the hairstyle for the remaining of the night after changing back to our...
Read moreThis kimono rental was very accommodating, on my 2nd day in Tokyo I came but they were booked for the day so I visited their website and made reservations and communicated through Instagram. The lady was very responsive and offered available times that fit my schedule. When I arrived they were helping other customers but both of the ladies greeted me and told me they would be with me shortly. I picked my kimono and sash I knew I wanted lots of color so I showed her the picture I had in my phone. My makeup and hair was already done by me so I didn’t include in my set. The price is right for everything you will receive even the extra accessories.
Lady dressed me and was very professional and thorough and very fast I could tell she knows what she’s doing.
Once I was dressed I walked around in the area doing tourists things and receiving many compliments of how good I looked. I enjoyed the experience and would definitely rent kimono again when I visit Tokyo. MUST DO THIS so neat and I felt pretty. You can wear until closing time. Do yourself a favor and experience the culture and dress up and Kimono.
The business is punctual so be on time and if you can’t make it and have to cancel or running late...
Read moreCould not have been better. The staff were amazingly accomodating to me and my husband as Muslims, even allowing us to reschedule to get the right staff, and they set up 2 curtained spaces to divide us without us having to confirm this beforehand. The staff were super kind and generous, and knew how to accomodate a Muslim couple (as a Hijabi) without us having to explain anything, including the head-covering and the splitting of genders. They had the most gorgeous kimono that was perfect for me, but many choices for various prices. And very good indication what came with which price-range and how to request any additional fees. The male selection was a bit smaller, but I think that kind of just comes with male Yukata. They laid out the perfect accessories for us without us having to say or do anything and held our original belongings without cost safely. We paid ¥6000 for a couple's package, including ¥500 to reserve a male staff member for us. That price was for however long we wanted, and we got all the enjoyment we could have wanted from it. I would recommend them to anyone,...
