As a huge fan of Japanese nail artistry, I always make sure to get my nails done in NYC. So, naturally, when planning my trip to Japan with my best friend, we knew a nail appointment was a must! My excitement went through the roof the moment she sent me Yamamichi's Instagram page, I was instantly sold. However, I have to say, the Instagram page, as beautiful as it is, doesn't even begin to capture the full, incredible experience you have within their salon. The ambiance and decor is one of a kind!

From the moment I arrived early, I felt extremely welcomed. They greeted me with warmth and even gracefully accommodated a last-minute request for nail gel removal. I truly felt honored to be a customer. Yamamichi was wonderful, asking all the right questions, even down to my preferred nail shape, to ensure she understood exactly what I envisioned. We chatted about my time in Japan, my favorite foods, and she offered some amazing recommendations for places to visit. Having just arrived the night before, I truly appreciated her thoughtful advice to "please rest up, while I do your nails."

And when I awoke, I was absolutely blown away by the extraordinary nail art! Her meticulous eye for detail and incredible precision made every minute and every dollar completely worth it. There's no doubt in my mind who I'll be coming to for my nail appointment when I return to Japan. And for anyone I know planning a visit, she's the only one I'll be recommending. No words can describe how happy and in love I am with my nails! I was not too sure what I was expecting, but these are honestly the best nails I have ever had done (they receive a lot of compliments!!)

I had booked an appointment through Instagram, requesting a specific time and date with ease as well as sent a couple photos as reference to what I had envisioned (the booking was done under 10 Gorgeous Nails - $450). It is quite pricey, but the amount of work and art put into the nails is DEFINITELY WORTH IT!

The entire aesthetic of the salon was beautiful and the staff there are very lovely. I had my own private room where my nails were done in a nice comfy chair along with tea and confectionery. Yamamichi was the one that did my nails, she is very detailed with her artwork and even with the reference photos I had sent in advance she made sure what it is that I exactly wanted. Additionally, her English extremely good so we were able to communicate and have a conversation during the time of the appointment.

Overall experience was amazing, and will definitely be coming back the next time I am back in...

My first time getting my nails done in Japan and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Booking my appointment online was super easy and communication over Line to confirm details was also smooth, even as an English speaking foreigner.

My nail tech was Hirose and her demeanor was so sweet and friendly! She offered many designs to choose from, all of which were very beautiful. My appointment took closer about 2.5 hours, including the time it took to remove my existing Gel X set and fix two of my extensions. Although the price is comparable to getting my nails done in the San Francisco Bay Area, the experience with service in Japan was radically different! I was put into a reclining chair, offered iced matcha green tea and cookies, and provided an iPad with streaming services to peruse for my entertainment. On top of that, the appointment included manicure services as well.

I felt very taken care of and left with a beautiful new set of nails! Thank you Hirose, I hope to see...
