Onitsuka Tiger — Local services in Tokyo

I had an incredible experience at the Onitsuka Tiger store in Tokyo, thanks to the amazing staff, especially R. Tsuchiya. I visited the shop to buy sneakers with my wife, and on my way from the 5th floor of Tokyo Skytree shopping mall, I accidentally lost 20,000 yen. I only realized it when I went to pay for the shoes.

R. Tsuchiya went above and beyond to help, immediately contacting security to check if someone had found it. To my amazement, in true Tokyo fashion, someone had indeed returned the money to Lost & Found. I still can't believe it!

First time stepping into Onitsuka Tiger Tokyo Skytree branch, and also the last. I asked a very simple question: “Which color is the bestseller?” since I wanted to try Onitsuka for the first time. And the girl staff, with the enthusiasm of a rotten potato, just threw me a one-word answer: “Yellow.”

No smile, no respect, no effort – only a superficial, disrespectful, and zombie-like attitude. Like sis, if basic manners were sold in this store, you should be the first one to buy.

Japan is famous for omotenashi (hospitality). Unfortunately, this shop seems to be the black hole where omotenashi goes to die.

I had a fantastic shopping experience at the Onitsuka Tiger store. There was a male staff member who spoke English, Japanese, and Mandarin fluently, and he provided truly 5-star service. He was extremely helpful, polite, and efficient throughout my visit. I tried on many pairs of shoes and wasn’t sure about the right size, but he remained patient and attentive the whole time.
