I went into this store on February 4, 2024 around 1pm to purchase a bracelet. The Chinese saleswoman with a facemask was mumbling about signing up for reservation. I couldn’t hear her clearly so I took a step forward. The moment I stepped on the black flooring plank of theirs, she pointed at me and said “出去” which means “get out” in Chinese. No “please step out for a sec” nor “please wait outside” but bluntly “get out”.
Unprofessional and unacceptable. You don’t talk to a random person like that in daily life, but a sales person in a luxury jewel store was talking to a customer in this way. Based on the review under this store, this is not the first time for the salesperson to do this.
Ironically, I went to another Van Cleef store in Ginza Six. The saleswoman was respectful, polite and patient. She showed me a bunch of bracelets and necklace, and offered me her name card in the end. Night and day!
The 1st saleswoman should be fired right away since she’s so entitled to her job and so arrogant to the customers.
