Visited Ginza Lion's 5-Chome location and was delighted by the variety and quality of dishes offered.
Starting with a beautifully presented plate of fried rice topped with succulent steak, seasoned to perfection and complemented by a sprinkle of toasted garlic and herbs.
The freshness of the ingredients shone through in the crisp and colorful salad, dotted with plump tomatoes, boiled eggs, and a tangy mustard dressing, giving it a lovely zing.
The sausages, served sizzling, offered a satisfying range of flavors and textures, and the accompanying sauerkraut was a classic touch.
The comfort of the meal was rounded out with a creamy and hearty gratin, bubbling with cheese and dotted with generous chunks of bacon and asparagus. It was a dining experience that catered to a variety of tastes, all executed with care and a sense of traditional charm.

FYI, it is situated inside Ginza subway station. The beer hall is probably half the size of 7-chome and maybe not as resplendent. Food and drinks chosen from the touchscreen pad on each table; service was fast and efficient. Food is pretty good- but difficult to describe(!) apart from the pizza. Maybe Japanese interpretation of western food?? TBH, it is not relevant after a couple of steins. Great atmosphere with plenty of local salarymen (and women) enjoying themselves and toasting another highly productive day...
Read moreThe beer here is quite good, but I wasn't very impressed by the quality of the food I was served. The beef stew was chewy and had a lot of fat in it. The tables were packed into the main floor like sardines in a can. That greatly detracted from the atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings. I felt like I was eating Ina train station during rush hour. My wife wasn't very impressed with her food either.
