I had the pleasure of visiting Tasuke Sushi and it was truly a memorable experience. The atmosphere is calm and authentic, making it a perfect place to enjoy a peaceful meal. Despite being a tourist, I felt genuinely welcomed thanks to the friendly and attentive service.

The food is outstanding—each piece of sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful, easily some of the best I’ve ever had. The chefs pay close attention to every detail, making sure you’re enjoying your meal and even taking the time to explain the traditional way to eat sushi if you’re interested.

The lunch set is also an amazing deal, including a beautiful sushi platter, miso soup, and unlimited green tea. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy quality sushi in a warm,...

Yea
no! Texted the restaurant extensively, not wanting any misunderstanding, even got a Japanese friend to call a night before to clear up any possible miscommunication but still got a rotten deal. Long story short, they basically charged us for 9 people when we only have 7 as 2 were sick and couldn’t make it. I mean if they told us ‘sorry have to charge for all 9’ then I would understand but they made up some lame excuse ‘because we gave your children better quality fish’. To be honest, we don’t mind paying for 9 but give us 9 people’s worth of food!!!

We agreed over text and the phone that each adult’s budget be at „16,000. No one would ever think kid’s dinner would be more but they have the audacity to charge „18,000...

This place gave me the best sushi and the best sushi-experience i have ever had! It's a family owned restaurant where the grandfather has named the restaurant, the dad is the sushi-master, the son his apprentice and the daugther serves the dishes. For us this was almost a religious experience as the pieces where so good and filled with so much thougt with their happiness showing when we enjoyed it so much! When we had eaten a set from the meny for 2000 yen we asked if we could have 4 more pieces for 2000 yen. And the master delivered. We got 4 pieces that each where an experience in its own right! This place has given me memories for life and I will always remember the best...

Very friendly and informative staff! We didn’t speak Japanese and they were so lovely and very surprised to find out we were from New Zealand. They asked so cute and lovely, asking: how did you find out about us? A local said: good choice! The restaurant only seats about 10 around the bar. Lunch had 2 options: nigiri or seafood bowl. 3 chefs behind the bar will assemble your dish for you. We got one of each dish and it was incredible! Fish was so fresh and miso soup incredibly flavourful! They also continue to top up your green tea. The bill came to just less than 3000 yen for both dishes. Amazing experience and would definitely return/recommend.

Lunchtime sushi adventure at 50-year-old Tasuke Sushi in Kappabashi! 🍣 We enjoyed a traditional tatami room experience (shoes off!) and an affordable Okimari Nigiri Teishoku. The wild bluefin tuna (lean and medium fatty) was fresh, along with tamago, octopus, and maki. (The tamago rice was a little loose, but still delicious!) One piece of nigiri had an intense wasabi kick! 😂 We paired it perfectly with sake. The friendly, English-speaking staff made the experience even better, and the cute origami surprise was a delightful touch! No reservations are needed for lunch. Tasuke Sushi also serves Kaiseki dinners from 5-9 PM.
