Never ever go to this one.
I don't usually write reviews but I am compelled to. I bought a 128 GB Sony SD card from them. It worked fine for few days then during my visit at Kyoto, the memory card locked up with days worth of photos and videos.
Since I was now staying in Osaka I went to BIC camera who were not interested, Tokiwa Camera (one guy there speaks very good english and looks helpful) who simply asked me to go to Yodobashi after which I went to Osaka branch who tried which I appreciate but then told me they would need at least 7 days to recover the data. I was flying back before that.
So, I took a shinkansen all the way back to this branch of Yodobashi to Tokyo. Result was no one speaks even little English, I resorted to Google translate. They told me I need the original instruction card in the packaging to send it to Sony for repairs and the receipt will not work. Otherwise, I could take their third party SD card recovery plan. Cost? 20000¥.
I told them I can't afford that and will try to recover this on my own. The shop attendant tried to dissuade me saying it won't work and professional help is better.
But apart from that they wouldn't help out at all.
My vacation is half ruined and if i can't recover the SD card then the entire trip was pointless. I have never faced such frustration and poor after sales service. As I write this sitting exhausted on the shinkansen back from Tokyo to Osaka. Avoid this place. Sales is their only priority. You will left helpless if you face any trouble if you think you can depend on them or...

Read moreWas about to buy a new Cannon camera for $600+ for my 11 year old daughter (who was with me), add the SD card, add the protective film for the digital screen. I nominally asked the salesman if he could put the protective film on and insert the SD card. "No", he sharply said.
Notwithstanding, with my credit card out, I said, "before you charge my card, let me see you change the camera's language option from Japanese to English." He said, "no you pay first, then I will change, and no returns." I repeated, " show me first it could be used in English."
Ripping the camera away from me, "LEAVE!", he said, putting the camera back behind the countertop, while refusing to sell it to me.
Also note... If you buy in Japan there is no warranty when you get it back...
