I had quite a pissed-off and unpleasant dining experience today with this restaurant at Jalan Gaya (Gaya Street).

Located at the Jalan Gaya, which is the tourist area, but reluctantly serve guests and customers professionally and willingly. Where’s your professionalism?

When one of us going to restroom during the wait time of our food to be served, he was questioned by the owner “did you see the notice? Only in-house diners are allowed to use the restroom!” my suggestion: please set a token entrance gantry and make sure people pay 💰 for the restroom, and customers can claim it back on their bills. This is to avoid the arrogant attitude owner to question their customers for using their restroom without spending again and again rudely.

While serving food, do understand what you are sending. We ordered 5 similar dishes, and different meat selection. The staff sent us, we asked which is the “chicken” one? The staff said (without checking) “where got chicken? You all didn’t order chicken what?!!!” come on, owner! This is how your attitude towards customers impacted your staff and restaurant culture —— BEING SO RUDE!

Okay, the food is edible, but not the best. No outside food & beverage allowing in the restaurant which I think it’s reasonable.

Please get yourself up and portrait yourself a serious restaurant business owner and runner. Down to earth will not kill you, but arrogant and haughty will.

** please take your own risk to try this restaurant,...

I dined here on July 11 and ordered two plates. Before placing the order, I specifically asked the staff whether the prices on the menu included tax. The staff clearly said yes. However, when it came time to pay, I was charged additional tax on top of the menu price.

I questioned the owner, and he said tax is added on top—which completely contradicts what the staff told me. I may not have noticed whether the menu explicitly stated “tax included” or not, but when the staff confidently confirmed that it was included, that should count for something. Misleading customers like this is unacceptable.

The food itself was honestly not good—pretty disappointing overall. But for me, the bigger issue isn’t even the food, it’s the feeling of being double-charged and the poor attitude during payment. The owner behaved as if I owed him a fortune, and the service from the wait staff was also cold and unfriendly.

This place feels like a tourist trap. I won’t return to any restaurant operated by this...

I have been here a few times, its quite ok, the service is fast etc. But this particular day when I arrive in the morning, we were attended by an old man wearing spectacles. I think he was the owner or boss here. He serve us, but is very rude. Ask him to wait or go do something first before we decide but he doesn't. Kept shaking his head while waiting for us to decide our order. Now, I haven't eat and is very hungry and I'm not a very good tempered dude so I may have said something in a rude way to wait. I don't see him while they were preparing my food. Pretty sure he spit on our food. 10/10 would not recommend for...

Felt like eating fried kuey teow and so had chosen this shop as it sells pork, and thinking the kuey teow will be more likely to use pork lard. However, to my great disappointment, it comes with only a few pieces of lean pork, and that's that. The taste is very average, other than its hot, it's like those you can purchase on the street stall in the morning for rm2.50. Service wise is non existing other than to take the order.no air con, no wifi. Price wise is expensive compare to its peers. Not recommended.

The chicken rice is decent, but I’d recommend the Tuaran Noodle, and the Prunella Herbal Tea. Some people complain about the food price, and yes prices are slightly above average... but we’re talking only RM1 more, pffft). Given the shop’s strategic location, and the tourist belt it’s sitting on, the pricing does not surprise me. Lots of people eat here, it’s clean, quick, healthy portions, nothing pretentious, nice traditional Hainanese fare.
