A few offbeat dishes show they’re not afraid to experiment, but don’t expect anything groundbreaking. The coffee and desserts are the real reason to come. The creamy cappuccino strikes just the right balance between bitterness and sweetness. The long black does exactly what it should. The nutty latte is for those who appreciate a layered flavour experience. The pandan cheesecake is worth every bite. The matcha yuzu drink is for the daring, though some say it tastes like a “polluted river.”
Large windows flood the space with natural light, offering views of greenery that make you forget the city outside. But the main menu is a matter of taste - one person’s delicious brunch is another’s overpriced, lukewarm disappointment.
The staff run a tight ship, constantly on their walkie-talkies to ensure efficiency, so much so that they sometimes forget there's a customer speaking to them. However, I watched a waitress handle a table of rude tourists with patience that would put a monk to shame. No eye rolls, no attitude. Just calm, collected service. Very impressive.
But you’ll have to wait. For a table. For your food. And for the day when the menu hits as hard as the coffee. Still, if you have time to spare, a love for good design, and an adventurous palate, it's...
Read moreOne of the nicest cafes along the two rows of cafes situated of dewan bandaraya (only second to nook imo). It recently renovated to have a 2nd level where it has a really pretty roof window where the sunlight shines in. It's very earthy, green and natural✨. The place is aesthetic & v popular w tourists.
Ps - girlsss, midday is the purrfect time to take pics when the sunlight peeps thru the roof windows 😩🤏🏻.
I think they're intentionally going for a minimalistic, uncluttered and earthy vibes. The bottom floor used to be crowded w people cause it was so dense w people. The tables upstairs are way more spaced out between one another giving patrons more privacy.
The heavy foods r good, the spaghetti carbonara w bacon is yumz (7/10). The butter chicken is so-so (4.5/10). We also got the wookie cup with our choice of ice cream (homemade coconut among homemade orange and store-bought vanilla). The coconut ice cream is goodz.
The wookie cup is supposed to be filled w ure ice cream of choice and idk if you're supposed to finish the ice cream first and then eat the wookie cup but like the wookie cup was so hard and incredibly difficult to cut into. It was also toooo sweet. So (3/10) @RM14. Also, the tarts r okay. The prices are...
Read moreFood: not much selection but the taste superb! Their food are delicious. The taste just nice and not over flavor-ful. Their big brekkie is huge. Recommended for sharing. Their curry chicken rice (not sure what’s the fancy name), taste awesome. The side dishes compliment the taste of the chicken curry. All components puzzle up each other well. Drinks: not much options but also taste very nice. My husband’s mocha is good, not too sweet. My hojicha latte with roasted aroma very appealing and the hojicha taste perfectly nice. We also ordered a refreshment drink- rose lemonade. It matched perfectly. Cake: few options and it looks fancy. The lemon tart very refreshing- start with sour and sweet after taste. Not too sweet but more on lemon soury. Banana cake is good too. Recommend to use ripped banana for stronger banana smell. Price: me and my husband had 3 drinks, 2 main courses and 2 desserts. Cost us around RM120 for 2 person. Environment: decor very unique but a bit warm although they have indoor air con. Recommend to lower down the temperature of the air con or blast it during hot weather. Staff: they are friendly and helpful. They asked for feedback on the food and drinks when we pay the bill. Recommendation:...
