Update of Feb 18, 2024 : is it me or the recipe of the hot chocolate has been watered down ? It no longer has the smooth creamy thick texture I was used to have before. I am downgrading my recommandation to AVERAGE. Not sur I'll be going back. It's no longer worth the $10+ you pay 😏😏😏😔😔😔 PREVIOUS RATING OF 2022: One of the best places if not The BEST place for high quality chocolate and hot chocolate drinks. All the different flavours are really awesome but I have a preference for the Jafa or mint flavour. And don't forget to ask for the fidelity programme so you can get your free hot chocolate after buying few of them in a row. The experience is quite unique and addictive since you will go back to taste all the flavours. And the two ladies in charge of the store are really nice and kind and have a great sense of service. Honestly one of the best hot chocolate and iced chocolate beverages we’ve ever had! Chanced upon this shop while walking around Christchurch and no regrets entering! We were a little confused with the menu but the staff are super patient and forthcoming with samples of their original hot chocolate. If you’re a fan of hot chocolate, that sample will clear any doubts you have about ordering a full sized cup for yourself!

It’s a cozy place to have a break at after a walk at the botanic gardens or shopping. And you can even buy back some of the divine chocolate goodies. We had concerns about what we could bring back home with us as our home climate is very hot and humid, but the lady at the shop gave us helpful suggestions on what would survive the journey back and how we should pack the chocolates. They returned home with us safe and sound :)

Superb hot chocolate and friendly staff and great smell of chocolate when you go through the door. I was greeted warmly by the staff on a Sunday morning, offered a sample of the 60% hot chocolate to try which was a surprise. They do 40% 60% and a 72% hot chocolate range to suit all tastes. The hot chocolate is available in a range of flavours to make you choice even better. Tea and coffee is also available. Small and larger sized chocolates to purchase also. Vegan friendly cake option. Ambient music is not distracting and the interior decor is warm and welcoming feel to it. They have a reward scheme, 1 point for every dollar spent. Get 100 points and you get a free hot chocolate.
