Can't say enough about the speedy service that I got from Salon 101! I walked in out of impulse with no appointment not knowing what would happen to my hair, but desperate to do something about the dryness and lack of volume. Uneducated, I wanted products that would have left my hair worse off than it already was. Rather than using those harsh products, which would have earned him a lot more, he advised me on what was actually going to benefit my hair: a thorough wash with his amazing, gentle products from his lovely niece. Afterwards, he gave me a layered trim that left me feeling beautiful and more confident than I've been in any other hair salon! It was a great price, and I loved every part of the experience. I had been rejected earlier in the day by a different salon whose owner told me that she didn't feel comfortable doing my hair after changing her mind 3 times and acting as if she was surprised about my appointment. Very strange. Since I was flying out the next day I needed to take care of it quickly. I called Salon 101 and they got me in right away. I even received a shellac manicure while waiting for my color to take. I showed Neil, who has been doing this since 1987, a picture of the haircut and color that I had before and it turned out perfect. He's amazing. He just took one look at that picture and knew exactly what to do. He is expert level in my opinion and made my hair look and feel amazing. Whenever i need my hair done i go to 101 and wouldnt go anywhere else. Too many dodgey hairdressers out there that lack that wow factor. Neils experience in the industry is way up there with the very best hair stylists. Often i appear at the salon after much neglect and regrowth to my mop Neil always manages to fix whether a color or cut most of the time both is required. He makes it seem effortless although its often not im sure. The cost is always way less than any hairdresser out there in the Auckland market.
