Nara was introduced to me many years back when I started my frequent business trip to Bangkok. This is also the one that helped train my lousy spicy level up because their dishes were fabulous, and I felt it would be a waste of life if you can't take spicy food.. 😜 After many years of not returning, I went there again in June. This time, I am bringing along a European colleague, and therefore, i need to give Thailand a fair and awesome perception, especially for food.. 1) The pineapple fried rice was being introduced to a foreigner - the comment was.. wow, that's very good, 2) Then we had the appetiser - pamelo salad with crunchy dried shrimp, a concoction of sweet & sour taste that opens up the appetite, 3) The ever famous pandan chicken, which I felt is so so, 4) we moved on to the next - crab meat in omelette.. I've never tried Raan Jay Fai 😅😅 but Nara's version is very good minus the queue, 5) we were served with garlic fried river prawn - 1 of my highlight for this meal.. fresh, tasty, and mini lobster feel though is prawn, 6) we end with the mango sticky rice.. can't go wrong with this no matter where you eat. My vegetarian colleague ordered mushroom 🍄 Tom yum soup which is not bad, fried rice with crunchy kailan topping. I felt so satisfying after the meal and I promise to visit Nara again in my next trip to Thailand.

Nara Thai Cuisine is situated on Level 7 of CentralWorld where most of the restaurants are also located. The atmosphere within the restaurant is quite classy for a restaurant within a mall. Ordered (total cost around 1000baht): - Crab Meat Omelette: A must try, although arguably not a signature dish. Big crab meat pieces and a fairly deep fried omelette served on a bed of deep fried batter pieces. Chilli sauce on the site. Would be great to share as an appetiser, but quite heavy for a side dish unless served with rice or something less heavy. - Ayuttaya Boat Noodles with Beef Slices Served with Soup: A traditional thai noodle dish. Quite a tasty dark soy broth, full of herbs and spices. The dark reddish colour of the broth is due to the cow's blood they typically put in the soup. Admittedly, it probably would've tasted better with sliced pork instead of beef. Serving side is reasonable but not too big. - Papaya Salad with Crispy Pork Belly: Fresh Green Beans, Papaya, Onions, Basil, Chilli, Tomato with Crispy Pork Belly. Super crunchy pork belly pieces served with papaya. Minty fresh taste of the vegetables went well with the roast pork skin. Good balance of sourness and saltiness. - Lychee Ice Drink - refreshing slushie type drink with a hint of mint.

I recently visited this restaurant for lunch and was greeted by a beautifully decorated space with a Royal purple tone, which added to the ambiance and overall experience. I decided to try one of their top ten recommended dishes, the Ayuttaya Boat Noodles with Beef Slices served with Soup, and also ordered the Stir-Fried Morning Glory with Crispy Pork Belly as a side. The presentation of the noodle dish was impressive, but unfortunately, the vegetable dish fell short of expectations. The boat noodle with beef slices had a flavorful broth, and the beef was tender and tasty. However, I found the price to be on the higher side compared to what I would usually pay for a similar dish. Regrettably, the stir-fried morning glory with crispy pork belly was a disappointment. The pork belly was overcooked and lacked the desired crispiness. It felt stale, which was disappointing considering the expectation for a satisfying texture. On a positive note, the morning glory itself was decent and provided some redeeming qualities to the dish. Overall, my experience at this restaurant had its ups and downs. While the beautifully presented Ayuttaya Boat Noodles with Beef Slices impressed me, the disappointing quality of the stir-fried morning glory with crispy pork belly was a letdown. The slow service higher price point for the boat noodle dish also affected my overall satisfaction.

I have known Nara Thai for many years. Taste wise, undoubtable. All of the dishes are tasty, although it came in a quite small portion and considered pricey for a chain restaurant food. 11 of us 7 adults 4 kids ordered some menus for the kids and enough for the rest for 8000 baht which I think it was overpriced. However, it is a good option to get practicality and convenience when you go with kids or elderly. Other than the food, they also have plenty of drink options as well. The branch in Central is easily accessed, not too many seats, and beautifully decorated and accentuated with a luxurious Thai ambiance. There is no toilet inside the restaurant though, but there are some on the same floor. The service is not too bad, the staff was attentive, and helpful. In summary, this restaurant which has many branches throughout Bangkok city is a good and save option. Especially for those who aren't adventurous with food. Would I come back here? I have been to this restaurant several times and happy to go here again next time if necessary. Make sure to order the tom yum kung, green curry chicken, crispy pork platter, pad grabao, and the deep fry shrimp cake. They are marvelous.

Nara Thai Cuisine at Central World offers a decent dining experience, with an emphasis on attentive service. The staff here are commendable, providing prompt and courteous attention to diners' needs, which enhances the overall dining experience. However, in terms of the food, I have to say that while it is acceptable, it falls short of what one would expect at its price point. Though dishes are well-prepared and flavorful, they lack the depth and complexity that is characteristic of authentic Thai cuisine. For those familiar with Thai flavors, the dishes may come across as too simplistic and not fully representative of the cuisine. Furthermore, considering the cost of dining here, we believe that one can find better value for their money at other Thai restaurants in the area that offer a similar level of service and higher quality food. Overall, Nara Thai Cuisine at Central World provides an enjoyable dining experience with commendable service. However, it falls short of expectations in terms of its food quality and value for money.
