I truly wish I could leave zero stars. I’m so upset I’m writing this in the car. I thought Sephora’s values were based on inclusion and unity. Just visited this Sephora store to restock my makeup kit and had the worst shopping experience ever. As a former Sephora employee myself I’m pretty familiar with the training protocols when you suspect theft. I’m also familiar with how customers are supposed to be treated. Instead of being greeted, smiled at or even simply acknowledged when I walked into the store I just got a dirty look from the woman at the door. Your job is literally to welcome guests?? So I’m not sure what the issue is. I ignored it and kept shopping. Then minutes later the same woman who gave me the death stare is literally peering over at me and my fiancé through the aisles. No “how are you?” Or even a “Hi”She’s literally just staring at us… How uncomfortable? She then interrupts me looking at products and doesn’t even offer assistance or introduce herself and just shoved a basket in my hands…. After that I just left to avoid getting outside of my character because it’s blatant profiling at this point. Not even 5 minutes in the store and I can guarantee I will NEVER be returning to this Sephora store ever again. So sad that as a black woman I had such a horrible experience with another black woman. This whole store needs to redo training IMMEDIATELY! No customer wants to feel alienated or followed in a store where they spend their hard earned money. Do better seriously. I’m SO...
Read moreThe moment I step into the store I could tell who was part of the hard working operations team. The rest of the team was just standing around gossiping. Was greeted by the young man from the back of the store as he is working on a display, meanwhile there were employees at the front and at cash wrap gossipping. Walked in looking for some products I needed right away for an event. Then once I get near the fragrance section everyone comes and ask if I need help. Geez don't y'all get trained on how to communicate and give great customer service. Then why do you y'all were headsets and have cameras in the back office. Husband and I didn't like the way we were being followed. Besides the guy working hard there was a nice woman who only check on me twice and gave me enough time in between to see how I was doing. Meanwhile other employees were just following us around and kept repeating the same thing. Can't I go in and look at products without feeling rush. Like let me shop in peace. Some customers know what they want. Why don't y'all go help your coworkers and clean that one skincare section that looks dusty instead. I have worked retail and been working in the beauty industry for a long time. I can see both sides the customers and the employees side. I get it is a rainy morning and not enough customers that early but geez y'all can find something to do...
Read moreI visited the store today and the 2 employees that were at the store front greeted me only and then went back to looking at their hand held devices, when I asked for help locating a particular brand name, I was immediately told they didn’t have the item and she went back to looking at a handheld electronic device. It was like pulling teeth, I showed the employee a picture of the item and she continued to say that no we don’t have it, I persisted by asking if they carry the item online because I purchased the item at a Sephora store. The employee agreed to check if the product is available online and sure enough the item was there, the employee didn’t ask if I wanted to place an order only yes we have it online not in the store. The employee didn’t offer to place the order for, I had to ask if I can place in online order in the store. This was my 2nd and last time shopping at this location because the employees are mean and unhelpful to say the least. This employee seemed to be disturbed by a customer who wanted to make a purchase because clearly she was only interested in her task of being upfront to greet and not...
