The Biltmore Ballrooms was the most breathtaking setting for our dream wedding. From our very first site visit, Carrie Hopson was warm, responsive, transparent, and helpful. Her and our wedding planner, Drake Social, along with all our vendors worked together flawlessly and cohesively, addressing every potential question we might have, often before we even had to ask. We highly recommend renting out the lobby space for your cocktail hour.
The Georgian ballroom was home to both our wedding ceremony and reception, and although the space was able to accommodate our seated dinner for 165 guests, plus a band stage, dance floor, and floral installations, it still felt like a cozy and intimate dinner party, straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie. The architecture and detail of the space is breathtaking - guests couldn't stop craning their heads up to take in the stunning ceiling. Pro tip: use mirrors in the space - they reflect the beautiful space even more! Moreover, the building itself is tucked so unassumingly away in the middle of Midtown Atlanta, providing a luxe escape that is still very convenient if you are hosting an after party or providing guest transportation like we did!
All in all, I only have the most lovely things to say about the Biltmore Ballrooms and its wonderful staff. I will feel forever lucky that this venue served as the backdrop for the best...
Read moreDecent wedding space. Northern most ballroom space was a tight fit for ~185 attendee wedding. Acoustics were surprisingly bad. Dance floor slick as ice in some spots. May have been impacted by the sizable fans brought in when an attempt was made to cool the space after loss of cooling water to the AC system while Atlanta battled major water main breaks on Peachtree Street. A Plus was we didn’t have to cancel the event which would have been a disaster due to the size of the wedding and the number of out-of-town guests. Staff (bar service, table bussing etc) did a great job. Pre-ballroom gathering area was too tight for 185 and with the loss of AC was very uncomfortable. Overall a bit disappointed with the venue but I gave them a star back for not cancelling the event and the earnestness and care of the staff. Better use of space for this many people would be to back tables into the reception room outside the main banquet hall. Dining did not have to all take place in the one space and spreading attendees out would have helped with cooling the space a bit. Couldn’t anticipate the loss of water but contingency planning should now take place to loss of...
Read moreIt's always a shame when a great venue falls into the hands of bad management.
Novarre Events were hard to work with from the start, but we thought that might ease over time. No, from first email to last, they treat their clients like strangers meeting for the first time.
Easily our worst wedding vendor. We know it's a nice venue, but we now also know that a lot of headache and cost could have been saved by looking for...
