They were nice on the phone. At their suggestion, I ordered Skis and bindings to be delivered to their location. We agreed I would arrive the evening before my first day of skiing to pick out boots and poles. He explained that they would mount the bindings at night and I could pick everything up before the lifts opened. It sounded perfect. So I ordered as he told me and the skis were delivered 3 days ago
I arrived at 6pm today and was told they were too busy to mount my bindings and that they were short staffed and couldn't let me try on boots for the next couple of hours and they closed at 8. The manager continued to brag about how busy his store was as he refunded my skis and bindings. I walked out in a daze. I spent $12,000 for two days of skiing with my kids and this store destroyed my vacation in the blink of an eye.
We've been coming to Beaver Creek for 18 years. I have never encountered anyone like this person in all that time. Everyone here is so helpful. I only choose Sun and Ski because they have always given me great customer service in Austin. I'll come back to ski next year but I'll never walk into a Sun and...
Read moreTerrible experience, SHOP ELSEWHERE! Pretty simple issue... or so I thought. I purchased swim trunks Monday 1/6/20. They turned out to be a little loose so I took them back unworn the NEXT DAY to exchange. Simply exchange. Shorts still had all hangtags, price tags, and I had receipt in hand. Front gal said no problem, get what fits. I grabbed same brand and style of short but 1 size smaller. When I got to the front they rang up $18 higher. I explained they were the same, showed her the identically marked down price tags, and let her know they came off the same 40% off rack. Another gal (manager?) heard the back and forth and leaned in to say they were no longer on sale and I had to pay the difference. What?!? Same price tags, same brand, same 40% off rack - and the sale ended between Mon and Tue? See the picture, see the shorts, see the receipt - feel my frustration! Oh, and see yourself shopping...
Read moreWent there to purchase a new snowboard setup and got tired of waiting for help after 45 minutes. One young man walked by, and I asked him for help. He kept walking, saying he was going on lunch. I do understand personal time is valuable, but he could have called for someone to help out. I went to the front to talk to someone in charge, and the two guys up front said they were short staffed. One of them had an amazing smart assed remark asking me if I knew anyone looking for work in the snowboard area. I understand that the $1,500 - $2,000 sale missed tonight isn't much to a store of this size, but this is the problem with large companies who value just turning a buck over repeat business with quality customer service. I hope that whatever the problem is tonight, management sees this review and addresses it. Feel free to reach back for any other details about tonight's lack of...
