Pretty Nails — Local services in Baltimore

I have been going to this shop for over 20 years. I took a break when I moved about 6 years ago because I found a closer spot, but now I have been back for nearly three years. When I first started going there I was getting my nails hand-painted with flowers, then designs, and third-quarter colors (like a french tip but polish is higher on the nail-bed and not just the tip). Yes, I did the rhinestones too. Now I am full on bright colors on the whole nail. I like them because I am not charged outrageous prices for my really long nails and they always look great. Like many businesses, they do give you grief occasionally (meaning rarely), but this place tries really hard to make things right. Maybe that is why I still see many people who were already going there when I found the shop while visiting Lexington Market one day 20 years ago. Ended up going here after I missed the place I was rushing to make it to. The older lady did my nails. She struggled just to sharpen up my stiletto design. The gentleman had to jump in and help her. Got home just to be able to see more clearly how uneven not only my nails were but the acrylic as well! She only put 1 coat of the gel polish which started chipping away in only 4 days. I also was very clear and kept reminding her I like my acrylic thick but she still made them thin and now the ones she repaired, looks way different from the rest. I'm going to give them 1 more try just to give them a chance to fix they're mistakes. Wouldn't be fair to have to pay extra to have someone else do that. Great service, no appt needed, and hands down the best prices in the city. I'll be honest, the shop itself is very ghetto and run down looking, but don't let that put you off. The staff are sweet and did a great job on my pedicure and eyebrow wax. My old shop in Mt Vernon has raised their prices drastically to the point I'm not paying that for what I get EVER, and even with an appt I always have to wait 30+ min.
