I heard about this small business on Instagram and had to try it. Being pleasantly surprised, is an understatement! My daughter and I visited on a Sunday afternoon around 5pm. Parking, in front of the store was readily available and there was not alot of 'foot traffic' in the area. We were greeted by a gentleman behind the counter, who was eager to provide samples, as well as information on the different flavors of ice cream available. As a person who grew up with 'black cake' as well as 'rum and raisin' ice cream in my home, i was literally transported back to the islands when I sampled each cashew based ice cream. My daughter selected a horchata flavored ice cream in which she could taste cinnamon and other spices. The prices were reasonable and as a result I purchased 3 pints and a single serving. Could not wait to share with my family when we got home. Cajou is onto something good here! Visit when you can. The sweet servings do not disappoint.

Cajou is an adorable lil spot, well decorated and simple. Located in what seems to be an upcoming neighborhood/retail spot. The ice cream flavors were delicious and very creamy. I will say the Guava and Cheese was leaning towards the sweeter side as was the Blueberry Cheesecake. The Baklava "pistachio" flavor was really nutty which I enjoyed. I think they should offer some other flavors that are perhaps less sweet. I know they had a Tamarind flavor, but it didn't seem to mesh well with the others in my opinion. Perhaps offering fruitier flavors that are more tart. I'm sure the flavors rotate. I appreciate the use of metal spoons for samples instead of those plastic or wooden ones. The owner was very welcoming and patient with us. I appreciate him telling me that the Jamaican rum raisin actually contained rum. I of course recommend this plant based ice cream spot it is necessary to visit this summer!

Cajou is absolutely AMAZING! First, before getting to the incredible ice creams, be warned that coming into this space will feel like coming home, so you may not want to leave! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The owners treat you like they've known you all of their lives. Every time I come in, there's always good conversation, and the best greeting ever... "WELCOME FAMILY!" Now on to the ice cream! Like it says, it's plant-based ice cream, and it is the best ice cream I've ever had in all my years. The flavor combinations sometimes have me feeling like I'm walking on clouds, and other times, the flavors take me back to sunny days sitting on the beaches of Jamaica! Get the ice cream flight!!! Then the soups!!! I've had the Jamaican Red Bean soup and the Dahl soup. Both are 5 star dishes that could be served in the finest restaurants! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET TO CAJOU NOW!!!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cajou Creamery, a vegan ice cream boutique, for my daughter's birthday, and I cannot express how thrilled we were with our experience. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth and genuine care by the owner.

The ambiance of Cajou Creamery is delightful, with its cozy and inviting atmosphere. The menu is an impressive array of vegan ice cream flavors, each one more tempting than the last. It was a relief to find a place that caters to vegans and offers such a diverse selection.

What truly made our visit unforgettable was the special birthday treat from Cajou Creamery to for my daughter. The thoughtfulness made her feel incredibly special and cherished on her big day.

The vegan ice cream itself was simply divine. The flavors were rich, creamy, and bursting with deliciousness. It was evident that the ingredients used were of the highest quality, and the craftsmanship that went into each scoop was truly remarkable. Cajou Creamery's dedication to creating exceptional vegan treats is truly commendable.

The own of Cajou Creamery demonstrated an impressive knowledge of veganism and were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions we had.

I highly recommend Cajou Creamery for any occasion, whether it's a birthday celebration or simply a desire for a guilt-free indulgence. Their commitment to creating delectable vegan ice cream and providing outstanding customer service is truly unmatched.

Thank you, Cajou Creamery, for making my daughter's birthday extra special. We will undoubtedly be returning for more delightful frozen treats...

I love the idea of dairy free ice cream and desserts. But for me it just didn't hit the mark. I make homemade dairy free ice cream all the time. The owner mentioned he uses water to make the cashew milk which to me dilutes the flavor of the cashews and turns into ice in the ice cream. I noticed after a few servings of the ice cream I couldn't taste the flavor anymore in the ice cream. Also the ice cream didn't have much substance/pieces of nuts, fruits, etc. I personally like chunks and pieces of the flavor in the ice cream, it adds a deeper flavor. My friend got the cardamom and coconut flavored ice cream, she could only taste the cardamom and not the coconut at all. I think the owner should substitute the water for raw coconut water in the cashew milk recipe as well as add coconut cream. It will give the ice cream way more flavor and make it more creamier. The ice cream didn't have a creamy texture to me at all. I could tell there was a lot of water in the ice cream. Great atmosphere and decor, the owner was very accommodating and...
