From my recent experience the Geek Squad is synonymous with a clown show. All I wanted was a technician to help me connect smart devices to my new Wi-Fi system. This request seemed over the head of the original confused Scheduling person who managed to bungle the scheduling, for which they charged me an audacious price. Three phone calls later from Best Buy managers, they proceeded to cancel one of several wrong items on the order, which triggered a cancellation of my service date (but I waited for them that day because no one informed me it had been cancelled). They rescheduled, but didn't inform me that they had subcontracted my order with another company who arrived and proceeded to tell me he was a general installer of things but had no WiFi experience what-so-ever. He informed me that if he was to do anything at all, I would be charged for the entire order. He left without doing anything. Read moreThis is my first time leaving a Google review, and let me tell you, this place is an absolute nightmare. It's a complete drain on your wallet and precious time. I foolishly decided to go there for a computer diagnostic, only to find out that their prices are exorbitantly higher compared to other places. As if that wasn't bad enough, after several agonizing days of waiting, I had to reach out to them myself to inquire about any progress. Can you believe they had the audacity to inform me that they couldn't diagnose anything unless I allowed them to wipe my operating system and reinstall a new one? Oh, and of course, that's an additional service for an additional charge they conveniently failed to mention before. If these so-called "experts" couldn't perform any real diagnostics, they should have had the decency to give me a call earlier instead of wasting my valuable time. Read moreOn 3/3/21 I had Geek Squad here to hook up a Bose sound system to a new Samson TV. All worked well while the tech was here at which point I turned the TV off. When I turned it on later that evening there was no audio ! Called Geek to get a tech out to fix the problem. Ready for this: in 9 days they are scheduled to return to solve the problem ! Tried speaking to a manager. No luck. All busy. VERY POOR customer service!! FOLLOW UP: As a result of my phone calls and on line review(s) about their lack of customer service: 2 days after posting this initial review, Geek Squad was able to return to solve my issues mentioned above. The tech resolved the problem and all is well again !!
