I still get calls from delivery people because my name is on their directory system. I had a call saying they needed to drop off a delivery for a resident and asked if I could just let them in. It's been about a year since I moved out. I could easily just walk into the secured parking lot if I wanted to, or go to the mail box area where packages are just left unattended...

It’s true that I was contacted by Ben after I had posted this review. I had emailed the management prior to leaving a review and the only response I had received was “I’m sorry, did you contact the police to file a report? “
I was told by Ben that all the broken window glass on the ground from the break-in would be cleaned. It has yet to be done so. I have swept the floor and left them aside not to harm other residents and their property.
The issue with the apartment is that there’s no management on site. There are things like a same motorcycle parked at one specific site on the 1st floor for over a month that has been overlooked. (Lease as that should be abandoned property).
A door to building’s courtyard is always left opened… which I’d assume could result in future security issues. Our stay at courtyard wasn’t terrible but the response from the management when something bad happens to a resident has been utterly disappointing.
———————————————————— Had my car broken into this morning at 2:30am in a secured parking garage. There's no management on site and haven't received any reply to the email I sent to the management this morning. There's no security cameras in the parking garage either. BTW, Parking fee is $125
We also had multiple packages missing and our particular unit cannot be accessed from the main entrance so we've received multiple calls regarding delivery issues...
Read moreWe moved in less than a month ago, and I’m still struggling to adjust to this apartment. There are some positives, but there are also MANY negatives. The unit we were assigned is very, very old, and it’s clear that it has received very little maintenance. It’s a shame because, even though it’s old, it could be kept in decent condition and clean. The unit was in poor condition when we arrived, though slowly they addressed some of our concerns (which I appreciate). However, the bathroom is simply HORRIBLE and dirty.
I have to constantly monitor any online orders because if you’re not quick, there’s a risk of packages being stolen or tampered with.
The neighbors above walk like elephants, which is extremely annoying—especially since it happens during quiet hours. It’s very frustrating.
It’s obvious that no one supervises anything, not even before handing over a unit. The management seems unaware of the actual condition of their apartments.
On the positive side, the apartment is spacious and the location is great! But overall, the bathroom and general upkeep are very poor, especially the baseboards, and there are noticeable smells like dampness. I’m really not very happy with this place, though moving isn’t really an option since it was very expensive for us to relocate here.

Read moreWe took 2 bed + study room for rent. Everything looked good. Loved the big windows in each room and downtown location. Day 1, the dishwasher was dirty and was not draining. We raised a request. Week 1, there was very foul smell in corridor. We figured out there was a trash chute next to our apartment. We were not told about it and had not known. Raised a request and reached out to maintenance and management to do something about it. Two weeks passed, they were not fixed, ozone treatment to come but no date. We invoked the 30 day satisfaction guarantee and moved out as we lost trust in their customer service. Essex staff looks overloaded and has no time to care for customers, they can only do the bare minimum. They did not offer alternative either in the same or other building. I made loss of time, money in moving twice in 3 weeks, joining fee of 396 USD. I left my public storage keys with the two key fobs on return. The picture I shared has it. When I called back in two weeks, my account is not settled yet, they just said we do not have it. They did not care to call us about extra keys or keep it in lost and found for us. They have no time to care for customers. I rate two because of 30 day clause and lease termination. Hope...
