Claire's — Local services in Bend

Sunday July 23 I got my ear pierced at the Bend, OR Claire's. Since then I have had a very bad pain in my left ear, I went to a local piercing place and got it looked at, by doing so I was told that the ear was pierced incorrectly. He had told me that the piercing was not straight through and that it was at an angle, this resulting in the use of the piercing gun, in which they use on everyone. He took them out of my ear and said that it was a good thing that he did or else they would've been infected, we paid 82$ and were told that the earrings used were 60$ for both but when going to a real piercing place they had said the earrings used were very cheap and should not have been used. I highly recommend you do not go to Claire's if you want your ears...

I haven't been in one in about 14 years. The process have changed drastically while the quality of the items has gone down significantly. No one goes here expecting fine jewelry and well made items, but it's disappointing regardless.

Please never allow your children to get their ears pierced here. Piercing guns are unsanitary and extremely unsafe! Piercing needles used by a professional piercer are your best bet to get the piercings done right, safely, less painfully and you will be given better instructions and cleaning items! I personally had my ears pierced here qhen I was 10 and it was infected to rhe point my ear swallowed up the Piercing and it had to be removed via surgery. No child should go through that! I brought my daughter there to get her ears pierced lovely experience the lady’s were so nice and it was a great experience a few hours later I went down there with my friends again without my daughter and the lady working that shift was super rude told and told us leave if we weren’t gonna buy anything we’d only been in there for 3 minutes max super terrible experience then proceeded to tell the customer after us that our age group was a “problem” we are all 18 and over and did absolutely nothing wrong we just went in there to find some things for my child the change in attitude is horrendous and I hope they get...
