What an absolutely phenomenal experience! 👏 Our family group of 6 had both experienced escape room players and some first-timers, and every single one of us walked out of the room completely glowing. We completed the Inventor's Workshop with 13 minutes to spare, and it was such a treasure seeing all of us (including my special needs brother) get to contribute to the puzzles and genuinely enjoy the whole experience. Mountain Room Escapes is the epitome of a warm, friendly family-owned business, as all of the staff members treat you like old-time friends who are visiting in town. Our game master was Tony, who is by far the coolest game master we've ever experienced, and we also got the pleasure of hanging out and talking with Matt afterwards. These guys have incredible systems set up inside their rooms, game rules that just make sense, and fun extra perks like getting to bring our coffees & hot chocolates inside the escape room with us! The room puzzles themselves were very satisfying, immersive and just the right challenge level for our group. This is also the first escape room company that had their own gift shop inside that was FULL of more puzzle, adventure and fantasy games & unique merch. Matt even recommended a Dungeon adventure game for us, and it was immediately a huge hit when we opened it up back home.

It's gonna be hard for other escape rooms that we go to back home to top this place now--Mountain Room really set the bar high! 100/10...

We had a great time! Our group was able to escape with about 10min left, without any big hints. We had a group of 8 (2 families - half our group were kids, and for a couple adults, it was their 1st time doing an escape room) We all enjoyed the theme and the range of puzzles and decor. Afterwards we chatted and felt it might have been harder to do it all in 1 hr if we were a smaller size group. there were a few parts of puzzles some of us missed as we were going, since there were a lot of activities different subgroups of us were working on at the same time. There was good set-up/clear guidance before we started. It was helpful that they emphasized that communication was important. There were enough things at different levels for everyone to be very engaged the whole time. I felt like I needed to use my phone flashlight for most of it, and found it a little more dimly lit than I would have liked, but I get that it was part of the mood. Our family of 8 (My husband and I, our kids, and their bf's/gf's) booked the inventors workshop as we were driving up, since we had an hour wait for our house to be ready, we thought it would the absolute perfect way to fill the time. From the second we walked through the door Matt and Leah were so friendly and welcoming, the area outside the room was filled with the absolute cutest novelty items! The room itself was a true challenge with so many intricate details within it, we had a so much deciphering each clue, and we were shocked by the size of the escape! We ended up escaping with 23 mins remaining, using only our free clue. I think this was only because of how well our group worked together and each of us had different strengths, because the room was definitely a well thought out challenge!
