Shirt Shanty in The Village — Local services in Big Bear Lake

DO NOT SHOP HERE! my husband & I bought a beanie for my niece since we knew they would be making a trip to Big Bear. We washed it & the top of the beanie unraveled! Spoke with Santiago & he said no exchanges or refunds! Then I spoke to Anthony & it just got worse with the customer service. Terrible. No consideration. I asked so now Im stuck with a beanie that the material is unraveling? Anthony simply just said, “yes” and that was the end of the conversation on his end. Wow. The way I was treated has never made me feel so upset and belittled. I was basically told off by the employee. So dont shop here unless you want to be talked down upon and be given horrible customer service by the employees. Im suprised this store is still open with some of the other reviews posted online. Big Bear, you need to teach this business owner how to do proper business and at least hire employees that have some sense of customer...

THE REGISTER LADY IS BEING SUPER RACIST TO US. My baby cousin, who’s just a little kid, was excitedly showing his family a teddy bear he wanted, and the lady at the register snapped at him, saying, ‘Put it back, it’s very expensive and people do buy it.’ It felt so unnecessary to speak to a child like that.

I even said to her, ‘Please don’t talk to him like that,’ but instead of apologizing, she doubled down and told us, ‘Next time just watch your kid,’ with so much attitude.

We couldn’t help but feel singled out, and honestly, it felt racist. I get that she might want to protect the merchandise, but there’s no excuse for being so rude—especially to a little kid. We all left feeling hurt...

The lady that helped me I believed it was the owner, she was very helpful and friendly. I got "The bears" version of the Beatles.. I love my Tshirt, is very original and she has good variety of Tshirts and suveniers as well. We shopped at a different store and before leaving we saw her there, too. I mentioned to the clerk that she helped us at the "Shirt Shanty" store and she mentioned she was the owner of both stores, both stores offered good quality merchandise with friendly-helpful staff at both stores. We will come back to shop...
