I LOVE our sheepskins, pillowcases, animal hides, and rugs from East Perry! The pelts are ethically sourced (which means the animals were not slaughtered for the fur, but as a byproduct of milk and meat farms, using the whole animal in a beautiful and sacred process!) and organic and gorgeous! Love that Black Mountain Vintage is carrying these items. The slander and misinformation in some of these reviews is to be ignored. This store is wonderful and I urge you to support small businesses and shop locally! This is how we save the planet and leave the earth a better place for our children! We need more family run ethical businesses. I love how the pelts are safe and non toxic for my children and everyone who comes to my house asks where I bought them from! They truly are works of art. I also own a wool rug from East Perry that is stunning! An heirloom piece. As someone else so eloquently put, I too will continue to support second hand shops and small female owned businesses. I encourage you to do the same!

Obsessed with the ethically sourced, organic sheepskins here along with all the other great vintage finds. I love how my east Perry pelt looks at home. So glad to know the story behind these furs - they were sourced as a byproduct of milk and meat farms, so truly using the whole animal. I'm pretty shocked to see all the slander on here - wondering why these radical vegan activists are going after a small, family run, ethical goods business instead of some giant like Ikea or crate and barrel. Super weird! I'll continue to support second hand shops and small female owned businesses and have no doubt others will do the same.

Wow! Just what Black Mountain needs. The store offers a variety of vintage clothing, upcycled and reworked clothing, as well as art, jewelry, pottery, and cool stuff from local makers and small businesses. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I had a great experience here and plan to visit often to check out their unique products. I highly recommend checking it out!

Cutest little vintage shop supporting both vintage goods and local small business owners ♥️

As far as the fur comments go, there is a major misconception here. As someone who raises animals myself, there is a MASSIVE difference between slaughterhouse farmed animal goods, for the skins and hides & Nose to Tail processing of animals ( using all parts of the animal to ensure ethical farming & right relationship with the earth)

Anyone commenting here in regards to the sheepskin in the store, clearly has done ZERO research on East Perry's products & ethics. The sheepskins are a bi-product of a small farm, no part is wasted, and a small community is thriving from the support of their farm. A conversation with the owner and you'll find she's a rad mama who has worked hard to bring an ethical, sustainable solution to a deeply troubling industry.

A quick search on Google and you'll find hundreds of sources for FARMED sheepies, NONE with the story, sustainability and deep care that East Perry has worked hard to bring.

Black Mountain Vintage is a magickal little shop with super kind folks who value supporting local makers and small businesses. Lots of sweet goodies there. Great vibes, beautiful shopping experience & one of a...
