Fancy Pants — Local services in Boise

This boutique is truly a gem. It’s more than just shopping. They offer styling help, shipping to your home, coordination with a seamtress for hemming, and provide a fun /stress free experience. I stumbled upon them on a business trip while I was out and about with my two senior Yorkies, and they were so sweet and welcoming to me and my puppies. They have the brands I love and that I expect to find at Saks or Neiman. Sarah was the best associate !! She carefully curated many thoughtful pieces based on my personality, pics of inspo outfits, and real time feedback by chatting with me. Her customer services and attentiveness showed when she walked through the store with me to get a sense of my style and taking anything I grabbed to the dressing room immediately so my hands weren’t full with clothes and my dogs. We causally chatted. It felt genuine, not “salesman” like or forced weird small talk, nor did I ever feel pressured, rushed or suspiciously monitored. Due to her proximity and attentiveness, I was able to run ideas or ask styling questions quickly. She left several times to check on other clients and Courtney and Susanne would step in to grab items if I wanted to try something. Great team work. They were always aware to help you as a client, but never hovering. Once I was in the dressing room, Sarah was super attentive to switching sizes or styles. She quickly removed the “nos” so that the room didn’t get cluttered. She would bring new items she thought would look cute.,.. things that I never would have imagined, but once they were on and styled, they looked great. I got an amazing Simkhai vegan leather dress that she styled with a L’Agence faux fur coat and knee high boots…. An outfit I would have never tried, but now it’s once of my favorite ones. She even held my needier Yorkie while I tried on clothes. 🤣

Each outfit I tried, the ladies asked to see them and would give great and honest feedback. It was like a mini fashion show, and It was a lot of fun. I learned a lot of new tips and how to style some of the newer fit of pants, like the barrel cuts. They even grabbed shoes to even finish off the outfit, knowing that I wasn’t even looking for shoes. It wasn’t to try and sell more, it was help show how to style the full at home. They offered to have any jeans I needed hemmed, and they shipped a lot of items to my house in atlanta, Ga . They even timed the shipment for after I would fly back in a couple of weeks. I was so impressed with my first experience that I went back a week later to bring in a pair of denim boots that I was having a hard time styling. I knew if anyone could do it, it would be them. Sarah, Courtney, Jamie , and Susanne all stepped in to check out the boots, and pulled different ideas for styling them. I settled on a tan dress with an upscaled denim mixed media jacket with the boots. Again, it’s an outfit I wouldn’t have been able to style myself. The owner personally drove me back to my hotel after shopping so I didn’t have to walk with all my bags. Sarah had previously driven me and the dogs back, and she helped get my bags to the bell hop. I work part time in Idaho , and now I make a point to go back each trip. Sarah will txt me photos of any new outfits that come in to see if I like them. When I come back, she’ll have a list of things she thinks I would be interested . She remembers what I bought before, so she’ll grab single items to pair with past purchases to make the outfit more versatile. She’s a gem, and they don’t get commission, so it’s not self serving to be that helpful…. It’s just being good at her job. I know that the owners personally work there as well, so I think that helps create the overall vibe of being proud to work there and help people with fashion. Fancy pants really is more than a high end boutique - it’s upscale brands with personalized styling, personal shopping and making sure you leave with the finished product by offering hemming to the exact place you want the pant or shirt to hit so your outfits are immediately wearable...

I had a really bad experience shopping at this boutique. First of all, all the brands they carry are on sale most of the time in other department stores. I bought a Cinq A Cept blazer that was 20% cheaper at Sacks. They price matched it but failed to let us know that it was going to be a final sale. I came home and noticed that the blazer has been worn. Stains on the sleeves, dandruff on the shoulders. I took it back and was told it was final sale and that the receipt has the return policy printed on it. I don’t read receipts after I purchase anything and I doubt anyone does. And it would have been nice to let the customer know before hand that it was going be a final sale. The employees were rude and uncooperative. Very disappointed. Definitely not Nordstrom or Sacks. Would...

I've been shopping here for 5 years! Love the owners who are there every day, both Courtney and Jamie have a fabulous eye for selecting the best product from each collection and styling it! Some of my fave brands: ALC, Vince, AGolde, Madeworn band tees, Golden Goose sneakers. This women owned and operated boutique provides the BEST customer service in-store and online. Follow FancyPantStyle on IG, plus shop online ShopFancyPants.com. They occasionally offer discounts, follow their IG stories, but remember you are paying for top notch quality/materials, plus customer service/styling/alterations/gift wrap/gift cards -- they do it all and it's a very special experience to shop downtown...
