We bought St. Patrick’s day tickets for the bar block party downtown. Cactus was on the list. We stopped there first because we could get a free shot with a drink purchase. It was hardly busy and they didn’t serve us. We waited at the bar for 15 minutes & nobody even stopped to take our order. I’ve been there when it was far busier & had better service. We decided to just leave & come back after our bar crawl to get our free shot. When we came back, Matt refused to let me us in. He said I was too drunk. All I asked is if I had to show my ID because I had a wrist band. I had gone to other bars on our ticket list & they didn’t ID us to enter, so it wasn’t a stupid question. I wasn’t stumbling or overly drunk to the point where I’d hurt myself or anyone else. Even other people walking by us thought it was so bizarre! We decided to just go home at that point & waited for an Uber right outside the bar. We watched him let several women in without checking their ID’s. I used to really love cactus bar, but I would not recommend it after this experience. It made me so sad the way Matt treated me.
