Went to Brickyard for my birthday dinner night before last and I had never been before. It's a nice place and great location, quiet inside and all my family and friends that have eaten there just raved about it. I mentioned it was my birthday because when I made the reservations they had asked if it was a special occasion. We ordered the Brie for an appetizer and it came out cold. The brie was not melty, not even warm to the touch and the little toasts were once warm because they now had melted cold butter on them so they were now soggy. It was as if all the dishes we had all night had sat for a while before they were brought out to the table and it was a long wait in between courses but I had expected that because my daughter had told me they waited till you were done with your first course before bringing out the next. We never received any rolls and when we asked for some with our dinner they acted like we were getting a second serving of rolls and that's just not done, I guess it's 1 roll per person. I had the Halibut and it's just so-so, not warm, not seasoned and doesn't come with much. My husband had the Filet and it was cold and was not brought out with anything other than meat on plate, 2 asparagus and 1 slice of carrot that was undercooked. We had to ask for the sauce that it came with because it was also forgotten. My husband ordered the cheesecake for dessert. It came out looking like a pop-over muffin with a cream cheese filling and was hard as a rock! He needed a knife and fork to cut it. The waiter said it's a 'non-traditional cheesecake' when we asked him if the wrong dessert had been brought out. I think the waiter was getting perturbed with us because towards the end he was just dropping stuff off at the table to get us to move along. The waiter at the next table brought out muffins for the guests for the next morning and told them about the flavors and our waiter just left them and to-go boxes for us without saying anything and we never saw him again. My in-laws were here from out of town and went with us and their plates of salmon and filet were about the same as ours. In fact it was my mother-in-law who had noticed that everything we had received had been sitting before it was brought out. I felt embarrassed that I had picked this restaurant when I wanted to show them a good time in our town. Almost $300 for dinner for 4 and I don't think I'll go back. I don't mind paying for great food and ambiance that's why I love Barbacoa but my family swore...

We went here for dinner recently and were pretty disappointed. Here is why:

We made reservations well in advance on their website. When we got there, the hostess explained the type of reservation we made was for “any available seating”. She explained they were full and we would be dining at the bar. The hostess explained this is a common frustration for diners because their website’s reservation process is pretty vague. Why that hasn’t been addressed by management is beyond me.

We ordered a bottle of wine. We pointed it out off the list and confirmed our waitress knew what we wanted. A different person brought us the bottle. He showed it to us and we said it was correct. It wasn’t until after it was uncorked and placed in front of us that we realized it was the wrong bottle. The winemaker was the same as we had selected, but the blend was different. This was half our fault for not realizing it before it was corked and half the staff’s fault for picking the wrong bottle. Luckily it was still decent and wasn’t outlandishly more expensive.

I ordered their 28oz Cowboy steak medium rare. The first few bites were incredible. But as I got further into the cut, the meat was beyond rare and almost cold to the touch. I sent it back. The manager (I assume) explained that it was their biggest cut and was hard to get right every time… how a top rated steakhouse commanding $100 for a dinner can’t perfect that entree is beyond me. Needless to say, they tossed it back on the grill. By that point it had gotten tough in some spots and wasn’t super flavorful. I was pretty displeased with how expensive it was and how the staff claimed it was difficult for them to prepare due to its size.

We ordered potato’s au gratin and Parmesan risotto as side dishes. Neither were very good.

All-in-all, I had extremely high hopes for this place, but it disappointed me at almost every aspect of my meal. When I’m paying $300+ for a meal for two, I expect to walk out of the restaurant smiling ear to ear. Unfortunately, that was...

The Brickyard is hands-down the restaurant for a small wedding reception!! Lead by Chef Leger with his dinner choices, it is a culinary experience for you and all your guests. I could hear people say," Oh, that is gooood!" Our guests were able to sit and enjoy time with friends and family, as they were served the next course.

This is the menu we chose, but I'm sure it changes.

APPETIZER: steak potato jackets, sesame chicken lollipops, charbuterie SALAD: green goddess salad or soup BREAD: warm rolls and butter PALLETE CLEANSER: sorbet DINNER 1: 1 lb RIB EYE w/ whipped potatoes, chard fresh vegetables DINNER 2: Petite Filet w/ whipped Yukon Golds, charred asparugs and baby carrot DINNER 3: Brickyard chicken w/ whole grain mustard pan sauce, whipped potato, charred asparagus DINNER 4: Halibut fillet w whipped potatoes crowned w/ Dungeness crab butter, diver scallop and pomme frites DESSERT: Idaho Huckleberry short cake, Salted caramel cookie w/ vanilla bean ice cream THEY ALSO GIVE A TO-GO: Chocolate muffin to each guest A nice stress reliever for a bride- If you have a guests with food allergies or special requests, they can take care of it as they order. You dont have to worry!

The attention to detail was definitely felt and outstanding!! We got compliments about "the best wedding meal ever!" Chef Leger is spectacular to work with! He's calm and listens to your needs, and responds to all your questions. The teamwork was wonderful with wait staff. Check them out if your having a small gathering under 40 people. Spectacular!! Cheers to...

The brickyard was great! We ordered the chatuebriand for two but weren’t so much impressed with it as our main dish. We didn’t make reservations, that was a mistake on our part. So if you’re thinking about going here, on a weekend… definitely make reservations! While we waited for a table, we ordered a few drinks and the Seared Tuna appetizer. This was the best part of the night! The Tuna was awesome and I recommend trying it! After getting our table we ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms. They were pretty good but I think the Tuna set the night off because it was so good. The visual appeal of the mushrooms were great and the taste was pretty good but we had already had the best item of the night lol! If your not a fan of awesome Tuna, I would recommend the stuffed mushrooms :) The tenderloin was great as well, but I’ve had a lot better. I wouldn’t say I’m complaining, just being honest. It was good but had no salt/seasoning of any kind and came out on a bed of mushrooms that weren’t too fancy :(. I wouldn’t say, I wouldn’t buy it again, but I’m not sure it was worth getting dressed up for? If that makes sense. We had our main dish paired with their brick chips and peanut butter mashed potatoes. I would say recommend both of those sides! They were fantastic and tasted so good! We also tried the French onion soup, we wernt too impressed with that or the salad cart. I think a salad could be much better if I wasn’t the one building it lol… I just want to add everything to it… and then I wish I didn’t. All in all, we had a great time and there was live piano for entertainment. It was a great night!

I cannot say enough great things about The Brickyard! From the time you walk in the door till you leave everything and I mens everything is perfect and fun! Our wait staff both in the bar and at our table were very attentive, knowledgeable, and fun. The food. WOW! DELICIOUS! Then love piano music and singers on Saturday night. Make sure you stick around for it. The best in town! So much fun! They take requests, people dance, and you have THE BEST TIME! Thank you to everyone who made our night so memorable and fun!

If I could give this place 10 gold stars, I would in a heartbeat. The vibe is super cozy. Brick walls, glass blown chandelier, ambiance lighting, booth dining, seats at the bar and a private dining room for larger events. The food was out of this world. We started with the Idaho caviar app (my eastern European husband was super impressed lol),l. Then we chose two different filets which gave us a choice of soup or salad. My husband got the french onion soup (it was so creamy with the cheese and the perfect amount of caramelized onions) and I got the chef table salad (where they bring a salad cart to your table and toss the salad with your selections). Between the salad and soup we were given two small lime sorbet cups to clean our palette. We were also given freshly baked sourdough rolls with whipped butter. With our filets I received brick chips (sliced potatoes) and my husband chose truffle fries. We were soooo full but we just HAD to get the White Chocolate Blueberry Cheesecake (yum!). Our server dropped off chocolate breakfast muffins to take home. The service from JONATHAN was impeccable. He's the perfect server. He warmly welcomed us, explained the menu, made a personal connection with us, has a great laugh and smile, and tended to us perfectly. He truly made the experience so special. We will definitely come back as many times as we can when we are in town (we are from Phoenix). Jonathan is a keeper!! Please take great care of him and thank you Brickyard for the memorable experience!
