BoConcept Newbury Street — Local services in Boston

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Gaya from the Newbury BoConcept store. From just a little input from us (including a floor plan) she was able to design our new living room and dining room all without requiring any commitment from us. It is rare to find someone so helpful and detail oriented that doesn’t put pressure on you. She completed the first pass of the design very quickly (within days) and presented it to us in the store where we could see the objects, materials and design presentation. We had asked her to pull us out of our color comfort zone and she did… she put together a design around a beautiful mustard colored couch. But when she saw our hesitation on going with a bold color (we are your typical grey and neutral boring people even though we want to be bold design people) she went back to designing and offered us a new presentation. This required her to change the colors of all objects. She didn’t mind this at all and prioritized our happiness.

We are incredibly analytical people that do not make decisions quickly. Given this, we have gone in the store several times and just sat on the couch for 30+ minutes to make sure it was comfortable. Every worker that we have met in both the Newbury store and the Cambridge store have been incredibly nice and made us feel welcome and comfortable while we were testing the products. We even had our shoes off and were lying down on the couch and one of the owners (Louis) came over and asked us if he could get us some water. Louis as well as all the other employees always offer to help us if we are in the store and Gaya isn’t working. They appear to support one another very well.

We hadn’t felt comfortable going ahead with any purchase given our condo is getting built and we wanted to double check the dimensions and see how the color scheme would work. Gaya offered to come with us to do this. She carried two big tote bags of large fabric swatches all while wearing the required construction hat and vest… what a trooper. But she knew this was what we needed to feel comfortable.

I would highly recommend working with Gaya as well as the Newbury BoConcept store. She is incredibly hard working and detail oriented while not putting pressure on the customer. Additionally, she repeatedly goes the extra mile either by redesigning or going onsite or putting together the necessary pdfs, screenshots and documents. What more could you ask for? Additionally, the store is beautiful and well designed and Louis is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive...

I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience with BoConcept deserves special recognition. The quality of the furniture is truly exceptional—European craftsmanship at its finest, with elegant, timeless design that has completely transformed my space. While I had to wait a bit for my couch to arrive from Europe, it was absolutely worth it. The moment it was placed in my living room, I could see and feel the difference in quality and style. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the amazing team that made this experience so smooth and enjoyable. A big thank-you to Pardis, my salesperson, for her incredible patience, deep product knowledge, and professionalism throughout the entire process. She made the selection feel effortless. Thank you also to Ana, who coordinated the delivery seamlessly and kept me updated with clear communication. Everything arrived in perfect condition. But most of all, I am deeply grateful to Anthony, the store manager, who went above and beyond. He personally visited my home to help select a carpet that would tie the entire room together. His eye for design, attention to detail, genuine care, and a great sense of humor, ensured that every color and texture worked in perfect harmony. UPDATE: I have been chasing my order after the estimated delivery date has passed. To their credit, BoConcept responds quickly but they have been missing all the updated estimated delivery dates and they do not proactively inform me. There was one instance that they gave me an update on someone else's order with their order details, home address, name, and phone number. It appears the department handling logistics and delivery is sloppy and not diligent. I just wrote to ask for another update after missing the estimated delivery date 3 times. I will adjust my rating based on the outcome. With this experience, I am not inclined to do business with them again or recommend my clients to use their services/purchase their items.
