Brilliant Earth — Local services in Boston

I walked into into this location with my friend just to look at some stones/rings for regular wear (I.e., not for engagement), and did not have an appointment. I had never seen lab-grown stones before so was mostly just curious. The person who greeted and helped me was pretty rude and clearly thought that we were wasting her time. She also did not know the details of the products we asked about - for example, I asked if one stone was a diamond and she said "of course" in an irritated tone. I asked for the details of the ring so I could send info to my friend and it took her and another colleague about 10 minutes to even figure out which product it was on the website. Once I looked it up later, turns out it was not a diamond - it was moissanite! Overall poor experience that made me not at all confident that the salespeople know much about their products or jewelry in general. Again, this was a walk in experience, so it's entirely possible that the staff who see appointments are much more knowledgeable and friendly, but I thought the attitude was pretty wild for a lab-grown diamond store (I guess if they were real diamonds I could understand it more, but then again, I've had friendlier experiences browsing at...

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Brilliant Earth this past week. Checking in was so easy. I had an appointment at noon, and I was in by 11:55. I met 1:1 with Emily for a session to try on engagement rings. While she went to the back to select diamonds, her lovely coworker helped pull setting styles for me to try on from my online wishlist. I was a bit nervous going in to try out rings (I was worried if it was normal to do so… or if I was crazy for wanting to look at rings on my own? 😆), but rest assured, Emily informed me that so many other people do the same, and that she was so glad I chose to do so! She truly loved what she did, and made me feel SO comfortable throughout the process. She was so knowledgeable in her craft, and helped me understand all there was to know about diamonds, settings, etc. In addition, at the end of the appointment she took time that afternoon to curate links for me consisting of the exact settings, and diamonds that I preferred. We came in to pick our our wedding bands and Lizeth was amazing! We had purchased my engagement ring from Brilliant Earth and loved the quality and style so we knew we wanted to come back. There was no wait when we came in, and water/chocolate was a nice touch and the showroomwas cute and clean. We had the back room entirely to ourselves which made the both of us comfortable (whereas other stores may be packed). Lizeth was so friendly and helped us introverts come out of our shell, and she wasn't too pushy with certain rings/price points, and didn't get offended if we didn't like a ring.
