I visited this location yesterday 09/04 with my daughter and father. I was so excited to make my daughters first bear with her. The awful girl with dark hair and glasses that was filling the bear looked uninterested in helping and answering my questions. She also knew it was a birthday bear for my daughter and didn’t even bother smiling or saying happy birthday! Extremely unpleasant employees! The woman who checked me out who was a different individual then told me that there was no balance on the gift card I wanted to use when there was in fact an available balance. I called the number on the back of the card and put it on speaker and she heard there was a balance and then proceeded to tell me there wasn’t one! I told her please try again and then she’s like “oh it worked this time” seems like the employees are lazy and do not like their job! If you work at build a bear expect to see lots of family’s and children come in! If you don’t like that then find another job! This store left a horrible taste in my mouth and I will not be returning in the future. I will be sure to tell everyone I know my reviews on this place. No one wants to feel ignored and made out to be an inconvience while taking their child somewhere that’s suppose to be fun! Overall my daughter loved her bear! But the experience that was suppose to be the best and most important part was terrible and I felt so bad for...

Their heart felt customer service went above and beyond, and it is an experience we will always have fond memories of.
And to top it off, my daughter picked out the Happy Birthday shirt, tutu, sparkle shoes and guitar. When we got home it turned out our neighbor was having a huge birthday party in the back yard.
We opened the windows to share in the music and had a proper birthday bash with all her lovies! Lol
Thank you ladies, and Build-a-Bear!!
Lots of hugs from MiaRose and...
Read moreWe were exploring the area and stopped by this Build A Bear located near Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. My baby is turning one so I decided to build him a bear for a dollar! I added a birthday shirt for about $7.50. The birthday bear special is a great marketing tool; bears can be filled for children based on their birthday/age; prices reflect their age. The customer service was great; they were helpful and showed me what to do. I got to press the foot pedal to stuff the bear; it was noisy so they warn you first, both my children were impressed. Overall, it's a great thing to do...
