Let me first start out by saying that I rarely take the time to review anything, be it good or bad. That said, my experience with Cynthia was so exceptional, that I felt compelled to write something. Purchasing an engagement ring can be an overwhelming and disconcerting process to say the least. Before sitting down with Cynthia, I felt “lost”. After a handful of disappointing sessions with some of the more “well-known” jewelers, I was lucky enough to come across a few reviews for Cynthia.

Upon reaching out to Cynthia, she promptly responded, and provided me with an overview of what the process would look like over the next several weeks if I chose to work with her. She also requested that I provide pictures of my girlfriend at our first session together. My initial meeting with Cynthia was warm and inviting. She made me feel at ease from the onset. We spent the majority of our time together, talking about my girlfriend, her likes, dislikes, and looking at pictures. It felt like I was catching up with an old friend. Cynthia took the time to really understand my girlfriend’s style and taste. I had a general idea of the type of ring that I wanted, but certainly nothing definitive. Before I knew it, Cynthia was sketching the exact ring that she envisioned for my girlfriend based on the minimal information that I had provided her. When I saw her final drawing, I was blown away, and knew that I had come to the right place.

Cynthia then proceeded to educate me in all things diamonds. I had a general knowledge of the 4 c’s, but Cynthia’s insight was phenomenal. We discussed everything from how soil compositions from different parts of the earth contribute to the sparkle of a diamond, to how the shape/size of a person’s hands/fingers can influence the appearance of a diamond. It really was an eye opening experience, and I left that appointment feeling confident for the first time in this process.

My next few sessions with Cynthia involved the actual diamond selection. I had provided Cynthia with my budget, as well as general preferences on cut/color/clarity. I assumed, like everywhere else that I had been, that Cynthia would bring in diamonds that were 10%-25% above my initial budget, but Cynthia did not. She took the time to search her distributors for diamonds that hit all of the specifications that I had requested. Cynthia is obviously very well-known and respected within the diamond industry, as her network of distributors is very impressive. She sources her diamonds from the same distributors as the high-end retailers on Newbury. That means that guys like me can get a “Cartier” or “Tiffany” quality diamond without having to pay additional for the name.

Cynthia was patient with me during the diamond selection process, and took the time to teach me how to inspect a diamond, and the different characteristics that I should look for and pay attention to. She was also more than happy to provide additional diamonds upon my request.

Overall, my experience with Cynthia was amazing! She made the whole process painless, educational, and exciting. Cynthia literally took me by the hand, and guided me step by step through this process. Her service was so personal, that if I hadn’t seen other clients show up for appointments, I would have thought that I was her only one. My girlfriend (Now Fiancee!) absolutely loves the ring that Cynthia designed!

As excited as I was for my proposal, I was just as excited to tell my Fiancee all about the process that I had gone through to get to that point. The best part about this whole experience, is that my soon to be wife will forever be wearing a ring that was uniquely designed for her. The ring is truly one of a kind, just like its designer…. ...

I came across Cynthia’s designs in searching for an engagement ring. I had always intended to create a ring for my Bruna and in my research, many of the pieces I was drawn to were created by Cynthia Britt Jewelry, so I wrote. In my message, I provided the cliff notes for all that I believe my future fiancee to be and love. Of the three designers I wrote to, Cynthia’s response left no question that she would be the one to guide me through all the excitement and fear of designing a piece that captured all that we are.

Cynthia’s guardianship over the entire process was thoughtful, suggestive and confident. I could not help but feel assured in spite of the fact we could not meet directly as I live overseas. We would in fact not meet until Bruna’s ring had been created, imagine that! She sourced a GIA certified, highly graded, Old European Cut Diamond which was my only choice for Bruna, and others to provide perspective. She encouraged a band and setting based on the shape of Bruna’s hand, our active lifestyle and the diamond I had chosen. Her creative process has incredible flow.

The day I walked into her studio, I felt like I was seeing an old friend. Cynthia herself is as radiant as her pieces. Our engagement ring replaced the air in my lungs with tears in my eyes and she joyfully offered a tissue. I was stunned. All we had discussed had lead her to perfection. Our ring represents us as individuals and as one. It embodies the spirit of My Delicious, as engraved, her simplicity and diversity as desired and our love for one another.

Bruna and I will be married in May. Cynthia will create our wedding bands and a necklace that I have in mind for my wife to be. For as long as Cynthia chooses to design jewelry, she will be our designer. Cynthia, you have a gift in your work, your love for people and the joy you find in creating. Bruna and I both appreciate life has its flaws however it is clear, your talents combined are nothing short of flawless.

Cynthia Britt Custom Jewelry is one of my most cherished places that my now husband (YEAH!) fell upon. We started our journey to engagement with Cynthia and will forever be working with her on any special piece of jewelry we would like to have made. It is an amazing feeling knowing my husband worked along with the best to custom design my absolute DREAM ring. And now everyone I come across wants to gaze at my diamond’s beauty.
