GREAT EXPERIENCE AT SKINHEALTH CENTERS!!

The past year has been super stressful and I felt like it was starting to show, so I was interested in exploring ways to change that. As a guy who has never done anything like this before I had no idea what I needed or what to expect. On a recommendation from a close friend I decided to check out SkinHealth Centers and see if they could help me get some kind of facial "refresh."

I was a little nervous when I first showed up to their office (I went to Newbury Street), but the staff was super friendly and warm and definitely made me feel a lot more comfortable. When the nurse brought me back into the room, she handed me a mirror and started asking me what I was concerned about, what I was looking for or hoping to improve about myself, and generally asking what I knew about the different options (which was limited, besides some standard Googling). She was really sweet and patient with me, especially because I always ask a ton of questions. But she was very easygoing and had a good sense of humor about it all. After going back and forth discussing what my goals ultimately were, I decided on some Botox for my forehead and around my eyes to help me look less stressed and tired. She was super knowledgeable about everything and walked me through the entire process and what I could expect for results before we ever did anything. As much as I might have been anxious about going from talking about it to actually DOING it, I think it was pretty clear that she had a lot of experience by the way she went about the injections and how smooth everything went. She was really meticulous in her work and made sure to hit all the spots we agreed on precisely, and was great about talking through the aftercare process, the Do's and Don'ts, and what the plan was going forward.

I have to say, I was impressed with how much they made me feel like they were invested in my being nothing but happy with my outcomes, which gave me a lot of confidence about working with them more in the future. The entire experience was really quick and much more affordable than I had expected. They were more conservative in their recommendations, given that this was a first for me, and even though that surprised me, I actually really appreciated it. It's a huge turn-off (and, in my opinion, a big red flag!!) when anyone tries to pressure you into buying things you aren't so sure about, but I never felt that from them.

This was only my first time here but definitely won't be my last. Before this I felt like "34 going on 60," but I feel a lot better about how I look and I'm excited to explore a few other options with them soon to see if we can't turn back the clocks a bit! I would highly recommend SkinHealth to everyone, and especially to any guys out there interested in looking better but not feeling sure about where to go or who to trust. Go...

Upper/Lower Blepharoplasty I am so thrilled beyond with my upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelids surgery) done at the same time… Fall 2021 by Dr. Daniel Townsend (double board certified in Ocular Plastics and Ophthalmology at Skin Health 5th floor 37 Newbury St. Boston. Dr. Townsend has done over 14,000 blepharoplasties just check out his credentials…he’s been doing this for a very long time he’s an expert in his craft. Beyond his extreme intelligence he is truly talented he’s very creative and that’s what you want in a surgeon, someone who has a skill set of artistry! Dr. Townsend is so down to earth so kind, so good-natured and has a playful fun personality and is so easy to talk with and his wife Cheryl is (his counterpart ) exactly like that! They both are extremely intelligent, down to earth, lovely, kind warm, patient and informative. They truly share so much of the process and put you at ease. Their staff mimics their nature, expertise and work ethic…The nurse Jen who worked with Dr. Townsend during my procedure is intelligent, experienced and efficient. She works extremely well with Dr. Townsend at the Helm. Set up your consultation…the procedure and recovery are a breeze just follow their instructions they provide and you’ll never look back and you’ll be the happiest ever like me! I made an appointment for a laser treatment which seemed to be ok. With that purchase I received a free botox session. I made the appointment for 2:45pm and they called at 2:30pm to ask if I could come in at 3:30pm. Sure I said. I could make that work. I arrived at 3:25 and was escorted to the waiting area (2 chairs that look at a wall next to the bathroom) and was told that the wait wouldn’t be too long. I sat there until 4:00 then finally had to get up and leave. No one ever came to tell me how much longer the wait would be or that they were running behind. I had to get to a meeting and the receptionist was on the phone and there was another woman waiting ahead of me. I only waited a couple of minutes but the receptionist was still on the phone. I had to leave. I didn’t have time to wait until the receptionist was free. I sent an email to the girl who scheduled my appointment apologizing for running out so fast. No response! And no call to see if we could reschedule. Also, while I was waiting there were several patients in there for botox and other treatments that had gone bad. I was nervous after hearing all of those women that I didn’t want to go through with it anyway. Probably for the better. I would never go to a place that treats their clients like this.
