LOFT Outlet — Local services in Branson

Went to Ann Taylor Loft at the outlet mall today while on a family vacation in Branson. Since it was going to be during Veterans Day weekend, and there are oftentimes discounts or benefits offered to veterans and active duty military, I brought along my discharge papers more commonly known as a DD-214.

That was until today when the cashier refused to even acknowledge my service, and then ridiculed me how the military does issue veteran ID cards — and offered up that her spouse even had one.

There is no military ID card that is issued to every veteran. A veteran is anyone who served for any length of time. ID cards are issued to retirees and not every veteran retired from the service. I served 4 years. According to the sales clerk, I am not a veteran.

This is preposterous. There are VFW cards, American Legion cards and even VA cards but many of us veterans are not always affiliated with one of these organizations. That is why the DD-214 is used.

Ann Taylor Loft missed the mark today. My mortgage lender accepted my DD-214 as proof of service to get my VA mortgage loan but apparently that’s not good enough for non legally...

I arrived to the outlet on a very busy Saturday in November. I had made the trip from Springfield to Branson to pick up a dress I had held back for an upcoming wedding. My 3 year old son and daughter came along for the quick pickup. During the process of the checkout, I look over at my unusually quite 3 year old and see “the face”. He gets car sick and those Branson hills do not agree with him. He proceeds to profusely projectile vomit all over the floor at the checkout. I was mortified and in shock of what to do. The staff of the Loft Outlet were truly amazing to me and my family. I was on the verge of tears trying to clean up the mess and the reassurance from everyone that it was okay and we will take care of it was so helpful and appreciated in the time of embarrassment. I want to thank the associate that continued to check me out with that god awful smell and puke on the floor. Who reassured me that it was okay. I NEEDED THAT! Thank you to the associate who came out with the mop to clean what I couldn’t get to. I appreciate your store and the compassion shown...

We just moved to the Branson area and this is by far my favorite store out here! The ladies that work here are so helpful and caring! Not only do they help me with my shopping selections, they truly care enough to give me ideas on places to go as a new local...they always make me feel so welcomed and valued! If my husband reads this, a gift card here would make a great holiday, birthday or anniversary gift...just say'n!👌😁 Thank you LOFT Outlet for the great...
