For LC King Manufacturing Co, the proof is in the puddin' when it comes to their customer service. I was sent the wrong size overalls over the holidays, they came in on December 29th, so when I called only one person was left, or so she thought. She said she would leave a note for someone to call me on Monday, but within five minutes, Mr. Jack King called me himself. He listened to what the issue was and personally started the exchange himself that day. He didn't have to do that, but the fact that he did resonated with me and I got the right size just a few days later. These overalls exude quality. I ordered the unwashed low backs and they are at a place now of fitting my husband like they were tailor made just for him. They're pretty stiff when you first get them but that's a good thing! We followed the directions from LC King's website on how to properly care for unwashed denim and two months later (wearing them nearly everyday) the indigo denim is super soft, they hang on him perfectly, and I love the little pop of red fabric under the brass zipper and the green thread that reinforces the button holes. LC King Manufacturing Company has made us loyal customers in one transaction and I can't wait to order my own pair. Thank you guys for all you do, for keeping the traditions of quality and customer care alive, and for taking pride in your craft. Till...
Read moreDoing an extended road trip, we made a point of swinging by Bristol, Tennessee just to go to the LC King store. I was eager to buy some Pointer overalls that had been iconic to this part of America for a hundred years. My enthusiasm was deflated, however, to learn that the Pointer Brand (and amazingly cool logo) are now a thing of the past. No more Pointer branded garments are being manufactured. The staff wouldn't explain why, but I did scour their remaining scant stock to get a pair of white painter's pants and bib overall's which they custom hemmed on the spot. I have already taken them to the task in heavy work and they are sterling! My wife was able to get the last remaining barn coat with Pointer brand in the discount rack as it was an XS. Too bad it is lost to history now. The factory is continuing the L.C. King brand which is a bit more hipster for the Nashville crowd, but is top quality, American made denim goods. It is worth a stop if you are heading through...
Read moreWhen I found LC King clothing I was happy to support an American made product with such a rich history. I ordered a vest and a pair of pants and couldn’t wait to get them.
The box arrived and the first thing I noticed was that the box seemed very light. I thought that maybe I had only received the vest so that would make sense. I opened the box and I had received the pants and vest.
5 stars for quality workmanship and crafted in a way that I should be proud to own the pants and vest that I bought. Sadly 1 star for very light and Halloween costume like material. While this is an exaggeration, in my opinion the quality of the material did not match the quality of the workmanship. Sizing also runs on the smaller side.
Not the material grandpa had in his work...
