Extremely disappointing experience. I came to this Men’s Wearhouse location to buy pants for a new job, something that should’ve been simple and professional. Instead, it turned into a month-long headache that involved me driving 45 minutes each way three to four times due to their repeated mistakes.
I purchased two pairs of pants in-store and ordered three more to be shipped to the store. I paid upfront for all five pairs and paid to have them tailored. I was told everything would be ready by the following Thursday.
The very next day, I got a call saying my pants were ready. Confused, I asked how many — they said two. I explained those were the ones I brought in and that three more should still be arriving. The rep said they understood. But then, they called again the next day, saying my pants were ready, only to tell me on the phone that they hadn’t been tailored. I explained again.
Then they called a third day in a row, saying all five pants had arrived and were tailored. So I made the 45-minute drive back, only to be handed a sealed bag. I asked how many were in there — they confidently said five. I checked. It was two. And they were not even tailored.
Eventually, the manager admitted that they lost the three pairs I had ordered online. After a long search, he was able to find only two of them. I now had four pants in total. When I brought up how I was told they were already tailored (multiple times), the manager said the receipt showed tailoring wasn’t due until the following week, completely ignoring the fact that they had been calling me nonstop to say they were ready. Only after I insisted — and reminded them I had just driven 45 minutes again — did they agree to tailor the four pairs on the spot.
They told me they’d look for the missing fifth pair. I gave them three days. No follow-up. I had to make another 45-minute drive to the store just to be told they still couldn’t find it and would reorder. I left one pair behind for tailoring reference.
Two to three weeks later, after calling multiple times over multiple days, they finally told me the fifth pair wasn’t coming in and that they’d refund me for that pair and the tailoring. That’s it.
I pushed for some kind of compensation for all the time, gas, and inconvenience — and they barely gave me an apology. Only when I pressed did they even acknowledge the situation. And I still had to make yet another 45-minute drive just to pick up the pair I left for reference.
I trusted this store to help me look professional for a new job. Instead, they delivered repeated miscommunication, lost products, broken promises, and wasted hours of my time. I expected better service, better accountability, and at the very least, some basic professionalism. I won’t be returning to this...
Read moreI went on a voyage to find new business attire last weekend. I walked into Men's Wearhouse in Buford and was greeted by a friendly face eager to help me update my wardrobe. I described to Alyssa H my struggles of buying professional clothes that fit me properly, and she took that challenge and ran with it. The first obstacle was finding pants that fit. I would usually have to decide between showing every nook and cranny or support MC Hammer by wearing parachute pants. Alyssa H and the "Goddess of the Seams," sorry I don't remember her name, helped me find a solution that provided room for my thighs and seat while slimming down the lower half of the pant legs. The next task was to find some sports jackets that look professional enough to deal with the business and spoil my wife with a fancy date night. Some of the jackets were a close fit, but I wasn't sure if it was going to be worth buying. Here comes the Goddess of the Seams to save the day. She pinned up the jacket to fit my frame perfectly, so I didn't feel like I was going to Hulk rip the back if I needed to lean forward or reach out to shake someone's hand. After deciding on three jackets that fit my needs, I went into a small sticker shock. Fortunately, Alyssa was there to calm me down by letting me know that the sticker price was not the final price since the ones she provided were on sale. She then offered multiple shirts and tie options that were both in and pushing my comfort zone. I would usually have to buy a shirt that looks like a wind suit for skydiving but was presented with a properly fitted shirt, which was exciting. By themselves, they seemed to be much for my typical style but seeing them laid out with the entire outfit convinced me that it was the right choice. I decided to go with two belts, one for each outfit. I was pleased with Alyssa H's exceptional service in accepting the challenge and providing the products that met my needs. Alyssa has a gift of upselling by explaining the benefits of having such a range of options instead of the high-pressure sales most companies practice. I'm pleased with my purchase, and I'm looking forward to showing off my new look. Keep up the good work; you have earned yourself a...
Read moreUpon entering this store, I noticed the lack of staff present at the front. As I continued forward, I was sighted by two associates engrossed in conversation, so much so that I walked in between them with no "welcome, hello or anything." Caulking it up to maybe me overthinking, I continued through the store, passing two gentlemen who apparently worked at this establishment. After browsing through the merchandise, now catching eye contact with Larry, the "store manager", I proceeded back to the front of the store where I still hadn't been acknowledged. After asking one of the two ladies I encountered prior for a contact to corporate, Larry finally sought me out asking how he could help. At that juncture, I asked for a corporate contact and his response was "you can look up the 1-800 number, but what is it that you need." He then proceeded to tell me "we're busy unpacking boxes, we weren't trying to be rude." I kindly reminded him that he and another associate were standing talking and that he and I caught eye contact with no engagement. He denied and repeated, "nobody was trying to be rude." I never accused him of being rude, my issue was entering into an establishment and being able to occupy for at least 7 min with no approach. Then, when I brought it to his attention, he proceeded to make excuses, never yielding an "I'm sorry, how can I help." Instead, his very dismissive, "well what is it that you need. I don't even have any tux in stock to buy" rubbed me the wrong way. I am not one to complain or leave reviews, however, this is the 2nd time I've frequented this store and was not acknowledged. The first time I chalked it up to them nearing closing hours. Today, I realize their less than favorable rating on Google must be a true reflection of the lack of service represented here. I understand nobody is perfect, however, any member of management in a customer facing role should have the ability to respond in a more professional, emphatic manner as experienced today. Quite embarrassing for a prominent brand as Mens Warehouse. My first, well second and last time attempting to spend my money here. And no, this complaint has nothing to do with anything other than encountering less than...
