I will not be coming back to this Kirkland's location ever. I had a terrible experience there especially with the assistant manager, Elliott. I was trying to buy a piece of mass produced art at their store. both of the ones they had in stock had 3-5 inch scuff marks along the bottom that were going horizontal when the rest of the painting is going vertical. The gal there was great. She checked in the back of the store and she didn't have any more in the back that weren't damaged. She said she could give me $5 off the $140 painting and then it wouldn't be returnable. I had a 30% off coupon. To not be able to return a damaged painting for $5 is not worth that. She then said she would give me a 25% off discount on top pf my coupon. It was badly scuffed but i'd take it for that. Then she waited for her assistant manager to come over and approve the damaging out discount and he literally whispered in her ear, "you can't do that, it's going to count against our store." How unprofessional. Without ever seeing the picture and what it looked like he proceeded to tell me that it was probably an "artist's mark and that it was not a scuff mark at all." If you look online at the picture there's no horizontal dark gray marks running against the mass produced picture. So not only did he act unprofessional and whisper to the associate, he then made sure to lie to me to try to get me to buy it. When asking if he can call another store, he said no they're going out of business. He did not offer to check a different store, he did not offer to buy it online. He looked at me and basically could have said screw you.
SO THEN, I called a different location, and they were wonderful! They not only had it in stock, they had it wrapped in bubble wrap. When I got there, guess what there was NO scuff marks on it at all. It clearly wasn't an artists mark that he tried to tell me it was. And she said that no wonder why the Burnsville location never damages anything out. They're selling broken and damaged products, offering no discounts and telling people they can't return it and that it was "supposed to be that way."
I am very upset. I happily bought the painting and 2 other items from the other location. Those employees were wonderful and even offered to help me carry them to my car. Talk about going above and beyond.

Read moreI have been to this store for years. My whole house is decorated in kirkland decor. I’ve always had great experiences with staff being friendly or even helping put things together. Yesterday 11/07/24 the younger and older gal working the end of the day were the most unfriendly people I have ever encountered in that store. Not a hi when you walk in, they just look at you. They walked by to the back break room multiple times and didn’t ask one “everything going okay, you guys finding everything you need?” not one word. At one point I had my hands full in the back of the store and the gal walked by and didn’t offer to hold stuff up front like they usually do. The only time they talked to us is making sure we knew they were closing. We made sure to be done by closing time. Checking out I asked multiple questions and they ignored me and acted like we were the biggest inconvenience for being there checking out a few minutes before close (mind you we bought plenty in the store). My mom asked a question about a decorative piece and the older lady literally sighed and goes “ugh I don’t know.” Like we were killing her to ask a question, Not a goodbye or thanks for shopping with us when we left. Most uncomfortable and rude experience I’ve had in my life. My mom and I question if we even want to shop there if that’s the kind of service we are going to get now.
