Fashion Extra — Local services in Caldwell

If I could give minus stars, I would. I brought my step-daughter in to try on dresses for a masquerade ball. She picked out 2 that she liked so we headed towards the dressing room to try them on. We were about to enter a dressing room when one of the employees stopped us and asked us our ages. I asked why that mattered and the employee stated there were rules about teenagers trying on dresses and there needed to be an adult present. I proceeded to tell the employee that I was the parent and she was the child. She did not believe me and asked to see my ID. She finally let us enter the dressing room but still talked about us to another customer stating we looked like sisters. I fully understand that I look young and usually this would be a compliment but she took it too far. There were at least 4 other customers standing there watching while the employee hassled me about my age and still treated us as if we were lying. I will NEVER go back and I have NEVER been treated so poorly...

My daughter got her prom dress from Fashion Extra. The only criticism I have for the place is that we weren't greeted or acknowledged upon entering the store or while shopping. There didn't seem to be any other staff besides the owner/saleswoman who was fitting a bride and her wedding party into their dresses. We picked out a few dresses to try on and were entertained by the cute cat wandering around the store! When it was our turn, the gal was attentive, kind and gave us her full attention. She pinned my daughter's dress for alterations and went out of her way to help us pick out a matching tie. While the initial customer service is a bit lacking, the saleswoman's attention to detail, the gorgeous dresses, and the overall purchase experience more than make up for it! I could not recommend Fashion Extra highly enough! If I won the lottery I would own 50 of their stunning gowns. Sha and her cat sausage are the sweetest shop keepers and Sha went out of her way to help me get the wedding dress of my dreams as well as alter the straps to fit me perfectly. They have an unparalleled selection of quinceañera gowns that look like they are straight out of a fairytale. The quality of the dresses is fantastic. She also has evening gowns that are sure to make anyone wearing them the envy of the crowd.
