Excellent selection of contemporary and classic books for readers of every niche. It's a small store, so if you're looking for a specific book calling ahead is the way to go. That being said, it's fantastic for exploring your favorite genres further, or stumbling across something brand new.
Highlights: Emily Wilson's translations in the classics section, her work is phenomenal, field altering, and rarely included in bookstore selections. Our Share of Night, and other horror gems, new and old. The mocktail book in the cooking section! Love seeing sober inclusive cocktail books. They sell local pottery and artwork as well! Librarian and educator discounts! The employees were very pleasant and knowledgeable. Very welcoming energy, which some bookstores lack. Not overwhelming or hovery though. Beautiful displays, decorations, and organization!
This is now my favorite bookstore and I will return every...
Read moreI cannot believe I hadn't seen this bookstore before! We were just moseying around downtown and stumbled upon it and I'm absolutely hooked! The staff pics shelf had me snagging several books and looks like Mads and I have a lot of the same book tastes. Mads was a fantastic bookseller and had so many recommendations for me. I've made my way through 2 already and they're both 5 stars. If you love books and book people, this is THE place to go. We must make sure Shared Stories is around for centuries...small business bookstores are where it's at. Thanks Mads for an excellent book...
Read moreI hope this little magical place stays open forever. I absolutely love this bookstore. It has the coziest atmosphere and has quickly become one of my favorite places to visit. My boyfriend and I recently had a dinner date at the plaza and couldn’t resist stopping by afterward to pick up a new book. I also love bringing my kids here to choose their own books. It has really sparked their love for reading! We’ve attended several events as a family, and every experience has been wonderful. The staff is always so kind and welcoming. I can’t say enough good things about this gem of...
