Theresa's Market — Local services in Cannon Beach

I went into this place wanting to buy Zig Zag rolling papers. The rolling papers they had did not contain tobacco, & the people at the counter even told me that. The Oregon 2017 laws said that you have to be 21 to buy tobacco products. But you only have to be 18 to buy rolling papers, hemp wraps, bongs, etc. they asked for my ID, & I showed them asking if you only have to be 18 because I’m 20. he said you have to be 21 to buy tobacco products, after he told me it’s not a tobacco product. I tried to explain & show them the Oregon state laws that I found online, but he refused to even read it. The long haired man & the lady with the missing tooth continued to speak rudely to me & deny me service. I understand stores can deny you service, but I just think it’s funny that this store had people working that don’t know what they’re talking about. When I showed the guy my ID, he tried to do the math in his head looking at my birthday, he didn’t even know when you’re 21 your ID is horizontal & not vertical (biggest indicator distinguishing minors from everyone else) which would, anywhere else you have to be 21, get you denied service immediately if your id is not horizontal. Just shows this place hires people who don’t know what they’re talking about considering he called the rolling papers hemp wraps & went back & forth saying they were tobacco products & they weren’t tobacco products. The kindest guy works at this market. He's really a gem of a person. Our phones had died after a long day in the beach and we needed to head back to Portland, but the charging port in my car wasn't working and our phones were our navigation. He found an outlet and let us charge our phone until the store closed at 11, even offering to let our stay charging while he closed up.
