Dunham's Sporting Goods seems to be the premiere location and within Metro Detroit for camping firearms and ammunition. All sports are covered with in the store including golf baseball hockey football and just general outdoor gear. Also included are training equipment weights treadmills Etc. This is primarily Metro Detroit within city limits, outside you have Cabela's, Bass Pro, and the other high-end shops. For camping if you are camping more than once a year then REI is the place to get your gear. As with all sporting good stores they primarily gear towards the season with which we are in. Didn't have sunscreen!?!? That's the only reason we got off our road trip, we needed sunscreen and we saw dunhams and said "it's a sure bet they will have it, let's get off the freeway and go there" guess what! They don't have any sunscreen in this store!!! They have crock pots and sausage seasoning, but no sunscreen. Everything to enjoy your sports outdoors as long as you are okay with getting burned to a crisp. So yeah, surprised there, however we went next door to bed bath and beyond and I guess their beyond also includes sunscreen. We ended up getting our sunscreen at a bed and bath store not a...

Was the first customer in the store for the early Black Friday sale Saturday morning. The store had 4 Sports Afield 30+4 gun safes in stock in relation to the store ad. However, apparently all the safes had been claimed prior to the store opening and NONE were available to the public. Interesting note - while it was claimed by an employee that the safes were put on layaway with a deposit, two gentleman paid $317.98 each to a safe a piece. $299.99 sale plus tax comes to $317.98 - is the store keeping the "deposit" for themselves? VERY POOR...
