Finding a good jeweler can be a challenge. It is especially rewarding to find a team couple that can take a guyâs vague ideas of gifting needs and end up creating pure âtears of joyâ magic. Iâm thrilled to say âMission Accomplishedâ at Bradleyâs Jewelers of South Fort Myers!
My family has been in Fort Myers for 137 years. As one can imagine, weâve heard a lot of really interesting stories about merchants here :-). Recommendations are golden. So after overhearing a complementary chat about Bradleyâs Jewelers, I made note for future reference. When the time came to buy a gift, the comments were verified via internet reviews.
Upon entering their store, I was greeted by big, warm smiles and a welcoming introduction from Colbi and her husband Brad. I explained a special upcoming occasion, the type of jewelry that my lady friend had, and a general idea of the budget. After a delightful time narrowing down the choices to a pendant and chain, I was ready to put a deposit down. However, an excited, recently engaged, happy young couple came into the storeâŠand then, everything changed!
I couldnât help but overhear that the young man had chosen a loose marquise cut diamond for his lady. Then the Bradleyâs team created an amazing, breathtaking and exquisite setting for that shape of diamond. The pure joy flowing from the young lady reached right in and touched my heart. The store kind of paused just to enjoy their moment.
It wasnât long before I was back asking Colbi if I, too, might be able to have something special custom designed. I thought the stones from my late motherâs engagement ring, instead of the recently chosen pendant , would be the most meaningful gift I could possibly give. Colbi was excited about the possibilities, so we began to go through books to find ideas.
During the discussions with Colbi, I noticed Brad was paying close attention while at another display counter. He smiled at something said, came up to the desk nearby, and started drawing on a notepad. Frankly, nothing in those books reached out and touched that little spot in my heart like the young coupleâs special engagement ring didâŠthat is, until Brad handed me the drawing he had been working on.
ââWowâ, isnât a strong enough word! I wish I could describe the simple elegance, the perfect balance, the flowing shape that cradles Momâs solitaire and suspends the other smaller diamonds from above like stars. As was with the young coupleâs custom marquise diamond, the placement of Momâs stone encourages light to dazzle the room in prismatic colors. Those colors and shapes are alive again, dancing across the walls and ceilingsâjust as they did from Motherâs hand since my earliest of memories!!!
Itâs the wonderful balance of this husband and wife team that opened so many possibilities. Their patient and intent listening to my babbling thoughts created a diamond setting so inexplicably meaningful it couldnât have been imagined in my wildest dreams. It all came out of their design and listening skills, artistic interpretation, and insight. They guided me to my ladyâs most precious and special gift yet. Bravo and thank you Brad and Colbi, from the bottom...
Read moreMy husband and I were looking for a jeweler to replace my missing diamond in my wedding ring. He was the one that did all the research and based on all the great reviews he decided on Bradleyâs Jewelers and sent me the link. I clicked on it and I was impressed with all the excellent reviews and I loved that it was a family business. Once I clicked on their website it gave me an option to send a message. I sent a message and I received a response immediately and then I asked their hours of operation and I responded I would see them the next day when they opened. We arrived at the Jewelry store and we were greeted by a very courteous and friendly lady (Colbi) putting out her jewelry displays. I told her we were Michael and Brenda and immediately she responded your the one I was corresponding by message and I said yes. Her husband (Brad) heard us and walked out with a big smile and we were greeted again. I showed him my ring and he knew exactly what diamond would look the best. He and Colbi worked as a team trying to figure out what they could do for us. He took my ring to the back and brought back a diamond in my ring to show us what they had come up with. The ring was more beautiful and sparkled more than before. They showed me a bigger diamond and I fell in love with the way my ring looked. And I didnât need to look any further. I was pleased with their decision. I said this was perfect and he and his wife discussed the cost and presented it to us. My husband and I were satisfied with the price that we were quoted. They gave us a great deal and I know if we went anywhere else we would have paid a lot more. I can definitely guarantee this is the only jewelers we will be going to. Brad had so much knowledge about diamonds and rings and so did Colbi. They took as much time as we needed and answered any questions that we had. They have a huge selection of jewelry everything was beautiful. My husband and I are so happy with the customer service and quality. We dropped my ring off that day and later that night we received a call my ring was finished. We went the next day to pick up my ring. It was so beautiful it had so many dimensions of sparkles with the new bigger diamond. We are so happy with our finished ring. It is so beautiful and I couldnât stop staring at it. They take a lot of pride in their work and it shows. They are a beautiful couple and they treat all their customers with kindness and respect. They honestly make you feel welcome when you walk in the door. We highly recommend Bradleyâs Jewelers; you will not be...
Read moreWhen my fiancĂ© and I got engaged we decided to go with the ring setting that my mother gave me. Its a white gold Solitaire that she took the diamond out of to use in another ring of hers. We bought a 1/2 ct diamond at Zales for $1600 while visiting in Pennsylvania. When we got back to Florida we decided to look around a bit more to make sure we got a good deal. After going to several stores , Kay, Gordonâs, Jaredâs, and another Zales, we had come to the conclusion that we bought at a good deal. While searching I was also inquiring about the cost from each of these stores to put the diamond we bought into my moms setting and sizing the rind. The cost ranged from $280-$320. Finally I decided to check out a family owned jeweler to see if I could get a better deal on getting the diamond put into my ring. My search brought me to Bradleyâs Jewelers. From the moment I walked in there was a warm and cheerful greeting. My initial visit was only to see what they would charge me to put the diamond in my moms setting and sizing, but after explaining that I had searched for the best deal they asked to take a look at the diamond I had bought. After only seconds under the scope they called me over to see what I had purchased. I was flabbergasted at the fractures throughout the diamond. They then shown me what a beautifully cut diamond should look like. The next day I returned the previously bought diamond to Zales. I went back to Bradleyâs Jewelers and purchased the beautifully cut diamond they had shown me under the scope. Less than a week later I had my gorgeous new ring on my finger! I am sooo happy my search brought me to Brad and Colbi! They are so wonderful, kind, and warm. I appreciate them taking the time to not sale me, but to educate me on what to look for when making our next big purchase. We will absolutely be returning to them and recommending them to anyone looking to purchase jewelry!
The photos below show the first diamond I bought from Zales compared to the diamond I bought from Brad and Colbi. Such a...
